Sale of my house in West London Barnes
I completed the sale of my property in September 2024 having used Ms Nayanjalie Wijegoonewardena under the guidance of Ms Sherine Silva. I have sold properties before and I can honesty say this was done in a very efficient manner. What I particularly was impressed with was the attentive and courteous tone from the team at Taylor Rose and also the technology they use with Caller ID. This identifies you via your telephone number and routes you directly to the person you need to speak with, rather then having to speak to a switchboard and wait to be put through. Also your client matter is pushed to that team member so again no waiting to get files, it all in-front of them on screen. Costs were as agreed. Simple and effective Firm. Well done all.

A big firm does not mean a good firm. Don't use them
Taylor Rose is a typical multi-branch firm that severely compromises on quality for quantity. My solicitor was initially proactive and attentive for a quick court application, then when proceedings unexpectedly extended to investigations, communication declined to a point of me and my submitted documents being completely ignored, resulting in the judge criticising the ‘basic’ statement she submitted in the last Hearing she represented me for. It was then astounding to experience how Taylor Rose handles complaints – after reporting my experience to their Client Care team in July and August, I then had to chase again in October, to which they responded on the same day, first citing my complaint was ‘still under review’, then contacting again a couple of hours later offering a refund of approx. just 10% of all fees I had paid, acknowledging an insufficient service of communication. Do not be fooled by the display of ‘success’ presented by these huge firms, as the importance of Court proceedings determine the lives of families (my proceedings were Family Court matters), but to these firms, it’s just another file of paperwork to get off their desks. To be ignored for months by their Client ‘Care’ team about a complaint for the exact same experience of being ignored by their solicitor, is almost comical if it wasn’t so devastating. Taylor Rose clearly runs with poorly managed conduct, with no real interest in providing a sufficient service. Their solicitors either don’t care, or don’t have enough capacity to care – and considering their employee rating currently sits at a declining 2.7 on Glassdoor, I urgently recommend thoroughly researching firms before handing over thousands of pounds to them. Do not end up having your family’s life impacted by a run-down solicitor who cannot handle their workload, with no care of the outcome. For these large firms, the only thing they really pay attention to, is their billed hours. After instructing a solicitor from a small boutique firm, I walked out of my Final Hearing with the accomplishment of achieving everything I wanted.
