What an absolute joke

What an absolute joke. I set my insurance may 2023 and they call me today to tell me after a year, that any gold in my house would not be covered by their policy. That this would be an additional payment. Wth your telling me this today, when asked why wasn't this flagged up, said it was because it was set up online. So where was that disclaimer online to tell me that? Do not waste your valuable money with these clowns. I asked for then to resend the email or letter, apparently they called me in 2023? 🤔

First time claiming SKy home insurance…

First time claiming SKy home insurance and having a complete nightmare, for an emergency fix and with a vulnerable person in the house with a window frame hanging off the wall, first called Tuesday AM, eventually got through and they hung up, told someone would be out within 24 hours, didn’t happen, called back today and no ticket had been raised, contractor came out, said he couldn’t do the job an hour ago as it needed a building assessment , now left with an unsafe wall and window in my sons bedroom which he can’t use and no further info, absolutely dreadful service, and now have my son sleeping on the couch for a 3rd night with an unsafe bedroom, would most definitely NOT advise using this company

I have taken a new car policy via 1st…Central

I have taken a new car policy via 1st Central and it appears is underwritten by Skyfire. I have requested a hard copy of my policy and have still not received it. I have lodged a complaint with the broker now. I have been given an address for Heywoods Heath Uk. If I had known how bad this company and the broker 1st Central were I would never have dealt with either. I have been driving for 35 years.

Absolutely awful home insurance

Absolutely awful home insurance. I had a blocked pipe which caused my kitchen to flood (my wooden floor is now ruined) and they sent out a plumber who said the pipe is blocked and the soil pipe is faulty. He told me to call the insurance back and ask them to send a drainage company. I called the following morning at 9am and they said they had assigned someone to me. Hours passed, I called again at 11, then at 1.30 and both times they said the same thing. When I called again at 3pm, they said no one was actually coming as I’m not covered because the soil pipe is faulty. Firstly, why make me wait all day to tell me that? I took a day off of work, I had no bathroom facilities available as the waste water coming from the bath and shower was causing the flood and I have a small child. I managed to get a drainage company round the same day (and paid evening rate) who sorted the blockage in 45 minutes; he said the soil pipe didn’t cause the the actual blockage so technically I should have been covered. I’m absolutely disgusted with this insurance product and would strongly recommend others are not fooled into using them.

The policy was very competitively priced. The service and follow up good. The proof of the pudding is when you have to make a claim. Haven't had this experience so don't know.

Took my money and never had insurance

DO NOT USE SKY CAR INSURANCE UK.. I work for the military and have spent a long time abroad working so when I'm back in the UK I'm only back for a couple of days so I get temporary cover .. So when I got home I went online and got cover for the 3 days I was back. i payed for the insurance with my father's card as when I went to the shop when I got back the bank declined my own card as usual. .. so I used my dad's card.. They exepted the card and sent me the cover as email... But I now I find out I was not insured at all because I used my dad's card? I emailed them and asked them why I was not insured and asked for my money back as I was never supplied a service they admitted I wasn't insured at the time that could have cost me my job.. They told I was not intitled to a refund.. What a joke ...

HORRIBLE.. RUDE.. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND....

Wish this will be read by Mr. Michael James Daly!!! We are a small firm offering self drive hire to the public.. But after a recent incident with one of our clients sky insurance decided to withdraw there insurance facility. A brief description on the incident is as follows: The hirer who did hire the car out from us was a sleep at night when a relative decided to take the car out for a spin uninsured & with no valid licence and ended up having a minor accident & now Sky holds us responsible for all damages to the third party after we discussed this matter with the hirer they are willing to cooperate & to pay for the full repair costs privately ( as they know they are at fault ). We as a company had done all the necessary checks which we can but unfortunately some matters such as this are beyond our control. I would like to know why Sky or WE are responsible for someone else's actions as the person who was driving needs to be held responsible for his acts if not the third party has to seek compensation from the MIB not our insurance policy. We had managed to only have one minor claim within the past 18 months which was also finally not pursued by the third party as it was just a door been opened on a parked car. So basically we have been claim free over the past 18 months. I would like to know why is there an insurance policy in place at the first place?? if something does actually go wrong by a hire car will they not pick up the pieces?? Then why charge us ridiculous amount when insuring people?? & also the staff over there are very rude.. Especially Steve Blackwell. I was also mentioned all this when I spoke with another hire company "ECO VEHICLE HIRE STANMORE" who was also one of there previous customers but decided to move away because of there attitude T&C's etc.. & also by going through all of the comments on Facebook TrustPilot etc. I think that its about time we get together & take them all to trading standards BBC watchdog & inform the relevant authorities on how they are ripping off the general public as many of the Terms are never stated upfront.. We are really sorry to say this Mr. Michael James Daly but the way your company is progressing at the moment its only heading in one direction & that is SOUTH. EXCELLENT COMPANY

I HAVE BEEN WITH THIS COMPANY FOR 3 YEARS AND ALTHOUGH I HAVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH NOT TO NEED ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION EXCEPT THE RENEWAL OF MY POLICY EACH YEAR, I HAVE ALWAYS FOUND THEM TO BE PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND IF YOU HAVE HAD A CHEAPER QUOTE FROM OTHER COMPANIES THEY WILL DO THEIR UTMOST TO GET YOU A CHEAPER PRICE, WHICH IN MY CASE HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL EACH YEAR. SO I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Great Performance Car Insurer

A cheaper insurer doesn't necessarily mean a lower quality insurance policy. Even though Sky Insurance came out much cheaper than it's competitors on the usual price comparison sites, I would argue they in fact offer a more thorough policy than most. Very happy with staff, service and price
