Gone into administration
Ripple Energy is exceptionally well-rated by customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.
Gone into administration
I hummed about this one before eventually not investing. I could easily have got done but usually for a lot of the projects I wasn't quick enough in deciding. That is probably why because it felt like a pressure sell....invest now or miss out. Disgusted really from the comments what has happened.
Just read thrives renewable said that there sorry to hear ripple gone under that no payment has been made to them either from Ripple or the coop. There looking forward to dealing with one or the other but at moment there continues with build on there own. Why hasn't ripple sorted a deal
Could not make my final payment. Just checked their reviews and have found out they have gone bust. Thanks for telling us no doubt I would have lost my investment. The Directors would be well cared for got scam written all over it. Have had no return on my investment.

Really pleased to be a part of this venture. I was very impressed by the Ripple Team that I met at the Fully Charged Show. My only ‘concern’ is that I am not 100% clear on how things will work going forward. For example, my current energy provider is Octopus Energy - I think they are compatible with Ripple but what do I need to do in order to link the two? I am sure it will become clear in time and I accept that the onus is on me to ask more questions.

Its early days yet but to date the communication from Ripple has been clear & useful. The real test will be over the next 18moths during the construction & commissioning phases followed by the supply of cheaper energy.

What Ripple energy is doing I think is amazing. I love the fact they are giving you the opportunity to be able to invest in something that should help so many. I would have loved to have been part of the first wind farm for the fact it is in my part of the country and know that I helped partly get that up and running, so I made sure I was part of this opportunity. I feel I was not able to give 5 stars as I was an early investor this time and was able to read the materials required and provided and understood, just did not feel I knew how it was progressing where Ripple were with achieving the target, you would see the occasional update on the webpage, but not detailed. When the share offering was extended, I had concern that it was not going to happen, but glad it has. I feel a bit more communication on those who had committed to an investment would have been better.

I love Ripple, they have a relatively unique product that allows you to save money on your electricity bill while transitioning to zero emission power…and I am very exited to show my children the wind farm and see my savings accumulate over the total life of the wind farm.

For various reasons rooftop solar is not a viable option for me, so the opportunity to invest in reaching net zero goals was too good to resist (and cheaper electricity bills in future). Really good information provided to help make the decision and signing up was easy.

Ripple removes the principle cost of living consequences of the volatile and currently high wholesale market price of electricity from the cost of the electricity supplied to you, taking it down as far as the cost of generation at their windfarm plus distribution costs plus non-avoidable taxes, and the extent to which it reduces your costs from wholesale down towards generation cost depends mostly on your chosen level of investment in Ripple. Ripple has a quite complex way of explaining that, which does not quite explain it! But, it is genuine and the model works. Current government green energy plans indicate a 'possible' oversupply by the mid 2030s (if the plans are all delivered), at which point the savings from the Ripple scheme would disappear, but by then you may have got your money back plus some more.

Writing a review of Ripple at this time always feels a bit premature, like saying an insurance company is great at taking your money but not knowing if they are any good after an accident So, Ripple have been great so far, good communication and speedy response to questions, having got the money now they need to build the wind farm so hopefully that goes smoothly, based on a colleague who invested in the first project I’m pretty confident I’ll review again in November 2023 but so far do good

I think the prospectus needs to be clearer on tax. If you're a higher rate tax payer for example, you don't have any "trading benefit" (actually personal allowance for interest) meaning that the trading portion of the reduction of your bills (ie the portion that's not the 5% capital repayment) would be taxable at 45%. That radically changes the payback periods, and renders the graph on the final pages of the prospectus inaccurate. The tax position isn't clearly explained in the prospectus and it's not really covered at all until the last paragraph of the last page. Yes there might nevertheless be ESG aspects to investing but it ceases to be viable from a financial perspective.
