I hummed about this one before eventually not investing. I could easily have got done but usually for a lot of the projects I wasn't quick enough in deciding. That is probably why because it felt like a pressure sell....invest now or miss out. Disgusted really from the comments what has happened.
Just read thrives renewable said that there sorry to hear ripple gone under that no payment has been made to them either from Ripple or the coop. There looking forward to dealing with one or the other but at moment there continues with build on there own. Why hasn't ripple sorted a deal
Could not make my final payment. Just checked their reviews and have found out they have gone bust. Thanks for telling us no doubt I would have lost my investment. The Directors would be well cared for got scam written all over it. Have had no return on my investment.

One reservation - bequeathing my holding I was very satisfied by the signing up process, the documents were clear and easy to understand. I appreciate that my holding is illiquid and so being able to bequeath it to a relative was an important factor for me. When I came later to add my relative's details, I found that the online form would not let me add them unless I added information that was not essential. The only information that is essential is the name and address, because that is all that is needed to identify the new bill payer unambiguously, but the form demanded their phone number and email as well. I was able to sort this out with a member of the support staff, but it illustrates that Ripple Energy, like many other companies, is gathering unnecessary data from its customers. As this sort of information may be later sold to other companies for marketing purposes, I have marked down Ripple Energy. I have noted their reply below, which is reassuring, but ever since my wife's contact data was sold by a charity we trusted, I have taken the approach that the one sure way to avoid data getting out is only to provide data that is essential.
Clear information set out on their website, and an easy-to-use calculator to match investment to typical energy use. There has also been good communication in the form of news updates since.
I love the Ripple concept: it's a win-win for all parties concerned and most importantly stimulates more renewable energy generation in the UK! The sign up process was simple and the information was clearly presented. I hope Ripple sign up more Utility retailers so more consumers can get access to this wonderful solution!

I really love the thinking behind Ripple Energy, owning my own wind turbine and benefiting from its earnings. As an owner of the Graig Fatha turbine and future one of Kirk Hill, Ripple Energy also keeps me well informed and entertained, by showing me my electricity production every day!
