Right move is set up to sell financial services (like mortgage products) and promote estate agencies that pay for additional promotion. Registration is painful, taking 5 mins to wade through their security protocols

I would give minus stars if possible. Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill". I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland??? Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.

Something needs to happen to get estate agents out of the process. The only way to do it is for everyone to make a stand together. They are not required. I am seriously considering to start a site that you can list your own house with only 2 requirements: you must have a solicitor in place for the sale and the conveyance is done by a registered conveyancer/solicitor. Estate agents are absolutely worthless and in no other industry would people allow someone to just rob money off them ‘just because’ you can’t polish a t**d but you can stick stars and glitter on one and that is all these people do again and again. As you can probably tell I resent their existence. The only company who have the process half right is Strike.
More filters needed such as distance to College. Park homes residential or holiday? & age/pet holiday or residential restrictions clearly stated in search criteria. Also flats, which floor? Is there a lift? & parking, down the road af asda, seriously? Ive spent hours on RM. Its frustrating but doesnt have to be. Estate agents need to use it properly too.

Quite impressed with the app. - makes searching for a house a breeze. Wish there were more filters such as nimbler of bathrooms, additional features (balcony/garden etc.). Found my ideal flat to rent through them. The reference check carried out by them also went fairly smoothly. Natalie from their team was a thorough professional who completed the process in a less than 2 days. Thanks Rightmove team!
After giving Charlie a run around with my details he really pulled through. Super easy experience would do it again.
In 2022 they have such a few house search filters. I was amazed how can such a website actually still be used...in modern UK. On the mainland, you get indicators based on soil quality etc... No filter based on house utile surface, no bathroom/number of rooms indicator, no price versus area indicator, no clear info on how one house stands out from other houses. One house on the same street, with everything changed is way more valuable than one untouched from '95. Add check boxes, with upgrades, and create indicator, for people too understand the difference . I mean, even a car selling website gives you more information. Please don't answer with your: the law doesn't request this information...because it has nothing to do with it.
