Good the apps
Only loaded this software to save me the trouble of moving from machine to machine when i wanted to try something out. As an ex techo is still get nerdy now and then and love to play (as my wife says) on older pc's that are stored in my workshop downstairs. Remote Utilities software means i can sit in the comfort of my loungeroom and play! on the machine's downstairs. Well done people:)
Remote Utilities has proven itself the clear leader among remote-access tools I’ve used over the past decade—including LogMeIn, AnyDesk, and TeamViewer. Best of all, Remote Utilities offers a completely free license for private individuals, making it the go-to solution for anyone who needs reliable, secure remote access without subscription fees

After using Remote Utilities for a while to provide IT support and manage remote workstations within our company, I’d like to share my overall experience with this software. ✅ Pros 1. Easy to Use and Set Up: Remote Utilities has a simple, straightforward interface — not flashy, but easy to navigate, especially for IT professionals. Installation is quick, and setting up a connection just requires installing the app and sharing an ID. 2. Rich Feature Set: It offers a variety of useful functions, such as: Full remote control Fast file transfer Multi-monitor viewing Wake-on-LAN Remote task manager, command prompt, and more tools for IT management 3. Flexible Connection via Internet-ID: A standout feature is the Internet-ID connection mode, which allows you to connect to remote machines over the Internet without needing to configure port forwarding — a major plus for less technical environments. 4. Strong Security: The software uses AES 256-bit encryption and supports two-factor authentication (2FA). It also offers the option to set up a self-hosted server for businesses that require maximum data control. 5. Free for Small Teams: Remote Utilities provides a free license for up to 10 remote PCs — ideal for small IT teams or freelancers. ❌ Cons Outdated Interface: The UI feels a bit old-fashioned and may not be intuitive for non-technical users. File Transfer Can Be Slow: Especially when using Internet-ID on weaker connections. Limited Mobile App Features: The mobile version only supports view-only mode — no full control like the desktop version. 💬 Conclusion Remote Utilities is a stable, secure, and cost-effective remote desktop solution for individuals and small to mid-sized businesses. While it might not be as polished as competitors like TeamViewer or AnyDesk, its essential features and flexible licensing make it a reliable choice for everyday remote support needs.
