Appalling service from the Reading office
Appalling service from the Reading office. Please see a brief of my experience: my appointment to view a property has been cancelled 3 times between 30 and 10 minutes before the viewing was scheduled, as the agency did not have the keys and did not have agreed the viewing with the tenant but yet confirmed viewing time with me ( and not only). They have then booked us and another viewer at the same time on a Saturday ( 5pm). Another time, I have scheduled a viewing for a different property over the phone at 4:15 and received a confirmation sms for 4:15, followed by a second one confirming the appointment for 4:30, and the agent showed up at 4:45 without anyone from the office advising me of this change, leaving me wait for 30 minutes. What is most shocking is that I have put an offer on a property and was during the negotiation stage. The lease was increasing every time I asked about it ( 3 times in 10 days), from 15'000 to20'000 to 25'000. I have requested official document on the lease since a different figure was mentioned each time. The estate agent (also the manager)disappeared so much so I went to the branch to ask if this was going ahead. In the office the lack of professionality was shocking, with music so loud I couldn't focus. The music was to celebrate 'Friday'. While the estate agent reassured me that they were gathering the documents needed and would have sent me an email the day after, including a first-time buyer guide, I have never heard nor read from them since. This was about 4 weeks ago, and while I insisted many times to have a written trace of our conversation, they completely avoided sending me any email over what discussed and agreed. This agency has put me off any property on their portfolio and would highly discourage anyone who are keen on a property with Prospect Reading.
