PLS handled our remortgage well and efficiently. They were particularly excellent when it came to a few post-completion items that needed to be addressed urgently due to our house move; Dan in the post-completion did a brilliant job, meaning that everything was resolved in time - we were incredibly grateful for this!

The worst solicitors on the planet

The worst solicitors on the planet! AVOID at all costs. This joke of a company are so unprofessional. Our mortgage did not complete on time even though we gave PLS so much warning. We had to do all the communicating between the solicitor, the bank and help to buy. This companies incompetency resulted in us being charged over £200 in interest. DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO DO ALL THE WORK YOURSELF AND DONT MIND STILL PAYING THEM. Even after writing a complaint we were told we had to wait 5 weeks for a response (no surprise we even had to chase them for that).

Working alongside PLS solicitors has…

Working alongside PLS solicitors has been an absolute nightmare; I am a buyer and I am currently more than 8 months in the process. My solicitors have been a dream, but the seller solicitors PLS have not been responding to any of the sellers or the estate agents or my solicitors emails or calls. We have had to create a mailing group of myself and the seller with the estate agents to deal with PLS because they won’t respond to anybody. Searches were complete at the very beginning of May yet it took them until August to send across the management pack despite months of chasing, they hadn’t bothered to even request it until August (3 months delay). My solicitors sent enquiries beginning of August and it took PLS more than 2 months to respond to a single enquiry (October); and they even told the seller that they were waiting on us! Thankfully the estate agent is ccd in all emails so they were able to correct them. We are still waiting on one enquiry after 4 months as PLS sat on it for 3 months, we are unsure of when we can complete as PLS haven’t responded in the past month to any of us. If you wish to complete a purchase or sale within a year, don’t use PLS.

Do not use. Spend your money elsewhere

After a catalogue of errors initially and a refund/poor review 4 years ago, I am yet to rid myself of this diabolical firm. Took over 4 years to get my property registered on land registry and the only reason why it has now come up as an issue is because we are selling. PLS have at least on 2 separate occasions failed to get back to land registry enquiries quick enough and therefore the application had been cancelled. Neither time was I notified or sent any communications, this was only found out because I enquired. Complained the first time, got a £150 refund. Complained the second time, no response yet. Spend a little extra and go elsewhere, otherwise you’ll be dealing with issues for years to come. I cannot emphasise enough for you to not use this company.
