A
The Worst Training Experience

I was having a Cisco Datacenter training with Netcom and it was the worst experience I ever had. Trainer was just reading the slides without putting any extra effort to explain things. No whiteboards, no extra materials for better understanding of concepts, didn't know where to emphasize and where to skim fast, no student engagement, he was just reading everything in the same neutral pace just for the sake of completing the formality of the training. The class became so exhausting and boring that even the trainer was yawning during his own lecture. It was a total waste of money and time.

Not a good value for the cost

The first class I took, which was AutoCad, was not relevant to my career path. It was interesting, the instructor was helpful, but it was certainly not valuable as a designer. Clearly, I was ill-advised in taking this class. It seemed odd that one would be able to learn the Adobe Creative Suite in it's entirety in one week, but maybe NetCom had an exceptional system. They don't. I took this program to enhance my skillset, but it is impossible to learn in such a short time. One of the instructors was patient, helpful, but the other seemed to be lacking in teaching skills. This was barely an introduction, and may have been helpful to people who were already trained in the discipline, but it was terrible for a beginner. I was told I could read the book if I needed more information. I would never recommend that anyone take this program at this school. NY State paid my tuition, and I did complain to the Workforce people who sent me, but if I paid for this very expensive program I would have filed a complaint with the BBB.

I consider NetCom Learning a partner in developing our employees.

NetCom Learning meets our training needs. We really appreciate the flexibility in venue, on-line, on-site, and in their classrooms.

The institution is professional in dealing with trainees.

The technology used in the classrooms are good and gives the option to either attending in person or remotely. The instructors are well-qualified as well as educational consultants.

Knowledgeable trainer

The trainer was indeed knowledgeable and was willing to answer all the questions. There were few issues with the online session however NetCom is working on the issues . Overall a satisfactory course. Thank you

This is an okay program

The teacher that was teaching the class was great but the follow up took a while to come through. They provide examples of cover letter, resume and went over the resume with you. They also help you maneuver their websites to apply for jobs.

.....

Class was well taught. Slow and then fast when needed. Instructor was very knowledgeable and patient. He could run AutoCAD in his sleep I think. The IT department was great and always responsive when needed and knows their stuff very well
