I was having a Cisco Datacenter training with Netcom and it was the worst experience I ever had. Trainer was just reading the slides without putting any extra effort to explain things. No whiteboards, no extra materials for better understanding of concepts, didn't know where to emphasize and where to skim fast, no student engagement, he was just reading everything in the same neutral pace just for the sake of completing the formality of the training. The class became so exhausting and boring that even the trainer was yawning during his own lecture. It was a total waste of money and time.
Very disappointed in the way the class was sold as a Beginner Class. In my opinion a beginners class would be a little more forgiving to a "beginner" like my self. In the introduction of the class everyone has AutoCAD experience except me, and the instructor catered more to the more experience people rather then the lesser. I feel guilty my company wasted the money for me to take this class, along with the admin for the class didn't give me all or the correct information I needed for taking this class.
Instructor was the best - Will be back for more training
I am glad I went to Netcom Learning on a friend's advice to take a class. I took a Network+ certification course, and the instructor was incredibly smart, and helpful. I wasn't sure whether to take a course through an online provider or an in-class option, but Netcom Learning offered both options which was helpful in deciding which would be more flexible. The value far surpasses the cost of the class because I have been through other training companies before, but Netcom Learning's approach to learning is completely unique, and something that I have yet to find from other training organizations. Netcom Learning will be my go to partner of choice for my training/CEU/certification training going forward. I would recommend Netcom Learning to any friends!
I truly enjoyed my AutoCAD class at Netcom Learning. I was a bit nervous to see how this would work as I never took a class before this in a learning environment, such as this. I want to recommend Netcom Learning to anybody possible!
The session was very informative. At times a little fast for me to keep up. It would be helpful to be emailed the spreadsheet that was being used in the webinar so that we may open up the spreadsheet and be able to physically do exactly what the instructor is doing instead of just watching. I am more of a hands on, in the driver seat type of student. That's just me, not everyone is like that. All in all, it was a good session. Thank you for making the webiner available again for those of us who will need to open up the recorded session and review some of the steps.
Nothing terribly different, but it's good to get a refresher...
Recalling what I remember from the PivotTable course, there wasn't that much new that I picked up; regardless, re-learning what I had known certainly didn't hurt, as the professor was great to listen to for the hour.
From the thoughtful manner to the way I was interviewed, screened, and advised by my Counselor, Robert Holmes, to the overall staff that greeted me at the front desk, supported the class room environment, and the teacher himself - the PMP class made a difference in my life!
Hit by the recession harshly, I needed something to assist in my pursuits to reenter the job market and this experience did it! Coached to network, redo my resume, try, try, and try again...I found my way against the odds of this quirky time period in our economy.
My first role came as a consultant with major Japanese Investment bank. I operated as an BA in the Fixed Income Operations group under the regulatory realm. After 9 months, I really wanted to pursue a role that would fully utilize this credited skill set provided by my NetCom experience. I have that role now handily with another Major Investment Bank in the IT group as the Sr. BA/PM in charge with the migration of data to their proprietary system. I am told there are other opportunities ahead here for me as well.
I cannot tell you how grateful I am - and how this class has made a difference in my life. One thing leads to another...and you have to remember that!

Training you can take back and put immediately to work
Everything about this learning experience was great. The facilities were good, the staff was outstanding, the instructor was top-notch. Everyone involved with Netcom Learning was willing to go above and beyond to provide assistance. I couldn't ask for a better way to learn.
VMware bootcamp at Netcom was worth every penny!!!!
I was really impressed by the trainer(John Bohrek). I would call John as VMware guru. He is very knowledgeable, has a very good real time experience, knows how to approach each student and answers all the queries. Our class had students with lot of IT experience including me, we had Network admins and Server Admins already working on VMWare but still he was able to make the class interesting. His training is very organized and systematic. The Virtual Lab was great had no issues but the physical lab wasn't clean. The food was great, thanks to Oscar! Overall I had a good experience and I would recommend VMware bootcamp training at Netcom to anyone!!
So far I have taken 2 classes with NetCom. The first time it was not good. The instructor was unprepared so the lessons were all over the place. Also, we were doing a 4 day class in 2 days. But the second class was much better. The instructor was excellent and the material was covered well. I took both classes remotely and there were only networking issues with the second class. Several of us who were off-site dropped connections a few times during the week. But the techies got this up and running quickly each time. I have another class coming up soon so I'll see what happenes then.
