We booked a Rhine River Cruise & Mediterranean ship trip package with My Cruises - June - July 25. As it was our first ship cruise plus a gift for our 10 Wedding Ann, we wanted a smooth,exciting trip. We made many enquiries with MC about getting access to Santuary Club on ship ( adult only area), Cons. advises both verbally & with email that we had this service. Great. Upon getting on ship, NO we didn't & there was no record that MC had checked with Ship. How disappointing for us , nothing could be done at that point. After contacting MC - very slow response. Was a misunderstanding. ! Not at all what the email advised us, So they completely mislead, and fobbed us off. Very poor staff training & attention to detail. BE VERY AWARE of this Company - they definitely aren't the cheapest, & consultants are poor quality . Bucket List Japan Tour. Started off great and got horribly worse from there. To begin with the hotel in Tokyo was nice including the area (even though we were not in the main hub). Second location was a hotel out of a horror movie including the breakfast and location somewhere in the middle of nowhere. We were taken to a third location in Kyoto, decent, I was happy enough with the hotel and area (again not in a super convenient hub). Lastly, we were taken to our final hotel and destination in Osaka, this is where MyCruises really went down the drain in my opinion. The hotel “looked” nice online however was pretty gross. The area in Osaka is called “The slums of Osaka” online. We had to spend two days in this area surrounded by nothing a tourist would seek. The demographic was homeless people run by the Japanese Mafia in the background. The area looked dirty and industrial and I literally had to walk around a puddle of human piss in the closest 7/11 with sketchy looking people everywhere. I’m super pissed that MyCruises jeopardised my safety and continually booked hotels nowhere near tourist areas. If MyCruises take ANY accountability with my review you NEED to find a better hotel at location number two and a COMPLETELY different area in Osaka. I’m not expecting anything positive from this company given how rude and unprofessional their staff were when calling prior to my departure asking for my full itinerary. I booked my trip through Flight Centre not understanding it was technically through this partner company. Hopefully I can warn others to thoroughly research the hotels and locations the partner companies are choosing (however they do not release these until two weeks prior to departure). I would also like to note that the tour guide conveniently hands you a feedback survey about the tour before you realise where MyCruises have deserted you on the last leg. I also feel it does not demonstrate how happy you are with the tour guide because you have to hand the feedback directly to them about them…. Of course everyone writes 5 stars to the tour guide, (it’s in pencil and I’m sure he would change it anyway if you put anything lower).
