Review summary
Mint Mobile has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and reliable, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
The phone plan for Mint has been great.
But then i decided to buy a new phone with them.
How dare I do that! Worst company ever.
The phone never even made it to me and i was charged $500. I never got the phone and they refused any support at all. Confirmed delivered by Fedex to H.H.H. THAT IS NOT MY NAME. it was clearly stolen.
I purchased insurance but i never even got the phone to activate it.
Im tired of getting danced around.
I want my money back.
I have wasted an hour in Europe trying to get WiFi calling to work. It has worked on and off and now Mint doesn't even recognize my number. I renewed (annual) on the condition they make the feature work from Europe and they promised. Now I've been on the phone twice, wasting 40 min on two diff calls with two reps, promising they would fix it. f Mint and they'd get a MINUS 1 if that were an option
There should be 2 separate reviews ,one for the service which seems good so far and the second for customer service website and app which totally SUCKS! Been trying all day to log in and it won't recognize either of my mint numbers so I have. O access to my accounts. Customer service is clueless. Spent hrs on the phone with them . They can't help. So now I'm stuck with no account access and no way to change payment method since I do not give payment information over the phone verbally
I just want to say, THE QUALITY OF MINT IS TERRIBLE FOR ME. I live in north Seattle, and I pay for the premium mint plan, and I'm only able to make calls and use data for about six hours per 24 day. During business hours, I rarely am even able to make a call l. Maybe there's something unique about my situation, but my advice is don't use mint if you live in Seattle and need a reliabke network.
Mint Mobile sent an email for those affected by the California wildfires that it would increase the data capacity to 2TB. However, Mint only increased it to 50GB instead of the promised 2TB with customer service claiming the 2TB only applies to their unlimited plan users: 1) there aren't any disclaimers that the 2TB promo is only for unlimited plan users in the email; 2) to send an email as if Mint cares about those impacted by the wildfires, but then to apply unwritten stipulations is such nasty and unethical practice. What a sleazy company.
I have the 12 month /5G plan. This suits my needs for calls and data. I'm generally fine with the service.
However, after T-Mobile bought the company (1.3 billion deal), the customer service has been notorioulsy bad.
I purchased a 3 day international calling plan while in the UK in January 2025
The service connection never worked. I verified with Apple (at store) that all my iPhone parameters were set correctly.
When i spoke to the "top notch Care team" at Mintmobile, he told me to delete my network. That will reset my phone. Dumb advice, the would delete ALL my settings as well.
Another CSR told me "I'm sorry sir, but we see that your phone is "locked". You must go to the store and have it unlocked.
My phone is not nor has it ever been locked.
Those conversations were over the "chat" option. Each time, the connection was dropped. The conversation text, i wanted to record, disappeared.
I finally requested and received a full refund of the 3 day international calling plan I purchased.
If a company (T-Mobile) is going to ship their customer service groups overseas, then verify that the employees are proficient in dealing with paying customers phone issues.
Do not make things up.
Do not drop the call/chat.
Do not suggest damaging resolutions.
I wish I could leave 0 stars. WORST experience I’ve ever had with a company. Ever. They don’t listen. They are trashy with commercial choices. Does not care for customers. Don’t ever use them.
I can't access my v.m. nor hear when I call out. I don't have time to call you every other day. Internet connection also acts up, at least once every day.
Mint MOBILE owned by TMOBILE. a MVNO that uses tmobile towers.
They have descent plans in the US.
The down side is the roaming of MINT MOBILE..
$5 for a day pass 1 lousy gig 60min talk 60 text
$10 pass 200 talk/text
$20 10 day pass 500 voice/text
might be good for the us but not recommended for international roaing.. VERY LOUSY PRICING FOR INTERNATIONAL ROAMING.
USMOBILE $22.50 /MONTH (PAID YEARLY)
(international roaming) that are listed..... not the actual plan FOR in the usa..
STARTER PLAN 1GIG for entire month
150 min talk/ 150 text for entire month
UNLIMITED STARTER $32/MONTH (PAID YEARLY)
10 gigs / month 1000 min talk/text
They use all 3 networks..
Mint mobile needs some improving,,
I like their plans, but NOT SO GOOD FOR INTERNATIONAL ROAMING..
Being they are owned by TMOBILE. probably why their plans are so lousy at a price...
I have a large family so we'll worth the price love that I can group control each members data need and works great even though it says they don't have coverage in my area
I live in PA. Mimt asked for my zip code so id get a local number. Upon activation I was given a California area code and number. I live on the opposite side of the country.
