Marsh and Parsons, Tooting - a really good experience!
I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other.
Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!
I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He “generously” — that’s sarcasm — offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.
Baran was very efficient when we requested our deposit back. As a Tenant you suspect that the letting agent will only concentrate on the owners demands . This did not feel like the case in this instance. If we looked for another flat we would use Baran to help us as has left us with a good impression of Marsh & Parsons.
Thanks to Lydia, Arati and Baran for doing a stellar job finding new tenants for our property and getting everything sorted with the minimum of hassle. A great team, responsive to issues and easy to deal with. Thank you.
Please stop sending me letters asking me if I want to see how much my home is worth. I’ve never engaged with this organisation in my life but they feel they can send mail to ‘homeowner’ at my address. Go away
Dishonest, Negligent, and Entirely Landlord-Focused
My experience with Marsh and Parsons has been appalling. Over the past 18 months, I’ve dealt with rodent and moth infestations, a persistent damp and black mould issue, and numerous unresolved maintenance problems. Despite raising these issues repeatedly, they remain neglected.
The letting agent has repeatedly misled me by claiming they’ve contacted the landlord or are taking steps to resolve the problems, only for me to find out later that no action has been taken. They make vague statements to create the illusion of progress but fail to deliver. Their clear priority is serving the landlord’s interests, not addressing tenant concerns.
Adding to the frustration, the high turnover of letting agents means communication is a constant challenge. Tenants are left to manage their own follow-ups and re-explain issues to new staff, resulting in repeated miscommunication and delays. It’s exhausting and completely unprofessional.
When I requested compensation for my belongings damaged by damp, they outright refused on the basis I don’t have a receipt and this is not in line with their policy. The landlord also refused the request on the basis I could’ve stored items elsewhere in the house, further enforcing the lack of usability of my living space. Contrasting this, they are quick to enforce trivial matters like grass length or act promptly when an issue affects the landlord’s property insurance. This blatant double standard is unacceptable.
I would not recommend Marsh and Parsons to anyone seeking a reliable or tenant-focused letting agent. Their dishonesty, neglect, and poor communication make renting through them a miserable experience.
I am extremely surprised by the volume of 5 star reviews and question the integrity of these.
Baran has always been extremely efficient and provided us with any necessary information in a swift and professional manner. We have been grateful for his quick replies and courteous nature.
I am renting a flat which is serviced by Marsh & Parsons. We recently had an issue with a clogged kitchen sink and a boiler link. Tassos from Marsh & Parsons was very helpful is resolving the issue. He immediately contacted the landlord, arranged for a plumber to come in, and checked with us if everything is in order after he plumber fixed the issues.
