I bought some trainers recently, the size was marked correctly on the box as 9 as were the shoes.
When I put them on initially I thought, these are a snug fit but stupidly continued to wear them thinking that they might stretch. They didn't and after a while I compared them with my old trainers and found that the new ones were quite a bit smaller.
Needless to say that when I contacted legend they said that this was an acceptable difference although this was my third pair of the same trainer and I never had a problem before.
It's my own fault for not returning them straight away but now I'm stuck with an Β£86 pair of shoes that I can't wear.
So, if anyone has a similar problem with size please return them straight away.
Very poor return experience β misleading evidence, unfair refund, and troubling patterns
Iβve had a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience with Legend Footwearβs return process β one that, after reading many other Trustpilot reviews, seems far from unique.
I returned a pair of trainers in unused, original condition, exactly as received. Despite this, I was refunded only Β£1.27 of the Β£127.29 I paid. Legend Footwear claimed that the item I returned was not the one they dispatched and applied a 100% restocking fee.
To justify this, they provided:
β’ A stock image of the trainers β clearly pulled from their Amazon listing β as βproofβ of what they originally sent.
β’ A photo of another pair of trainers they claim I returned.
There is no verifiable link between these photos and the actual items I received or returned. The photos are vague and inconclusive. I was not told I would need to take photos of the item before returning it, and since I expected a straightforward process, I didnβt anticipate such a dispute. Now, Iβm being asked to provide evidence itβs no longer possible to obtain retroactively.
Whatβs even more concerning is that this pattern appears repeatedly in their Trustpilot reviews. Many customers report receiving partial or denied refunds due to claims that items showed signs of wear and tear β yet, like in my case, no clear evidence is provided. In some reviews, customers point out that the photos Legend Footwear sends do not visibly show the alleged issues.
This raises serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of their returns process. There seems to be a pattern of vague accusations and minimal photographic proof, placing all the burden on the customer with no real way to challenge their decision.
I am escalating this issue through Amazonβs A-to-z Guarantee in hopes of reaching a fair resolution.
Buyers beware: if thereβs any chance you may need to return an item, you could face:
