I’m currently studying Full Stack Development through Learning People and I’m nearly at the end of the journey. I was very sceptical at first when making initial enquiry to be honest as I found some negative comments online however my future was saved by Adam Yule who I will thank till the day I die ( hopefully not too soon) as he answered my first enquiry. I am one of these people who are too anxious to answer the phone from someone I don’t know, but Adam was so lovely, took me through the entire process, explained everything and I never felt pushed to sign up to anything straight away. In fact as I asked about the negative comments he encouraged me to speak to people who are already doing the course- to ask them any questions I might have without speaking negatively of the people who left them. I started the course 9 months ago (Adam still keeps in touch and checks how I’m doing)and it was the best decision I could have made, I even started my first tech role without previous experience! If you’ve seen the negative comments and are questioning whether you should “ risk” it, all I can say is that if you’re willing to work hard and make time for studying - just do it:) They will look after you and the only thing you’ll be sorry for later.. is that you didn’t do it sooner:)
My experience with learning people has been great so far. Steve has been great at explaining everything and what I need to do to improve my chances of getting into cybersecurity. Everything was explained clearly and with realistic expectations. And thanks to Learning People I managed to get my CompTIA A+ certification after only two months. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to move into IT. When learning for my exams I found Class recorded videos and mock videos extremely useful in helping me pass my exams. However, there are some things that could be improved. The videos in each module feel very dated and can be very boring to watch constantly. Which can make finding the motivation to continue difficult. Additionally, it can take a long time before you will find a job in IT. They will start helping you in getting a job in IT only after you complete your first certification. So be prepared that even after joining the Learning People it can take a while before you can change your career. Overall, I will recommend Learning People as they can provide great assistance but do have a realistic expectation of how much they can help you.
I do not recommend this website, as they charge the course and exam fee and if you don't complete the course they will ask you to pay extra to extend the course the problem is if you decided to not extending the course they will not refund the exam fee which could be over $500 and they will not book the exam even if you want to try. absolutely fraud I regret every Penney paid to them.
Having spoken to lovely Sabana about my pending query she arranged a call back with Mikki who not only provides a great resolution but also offers an extension to cover for the time lost. He also confirmed point of contact and reassured future support. Thank you for your great customer service.
I signed up to the course as I wanted a change in career and through fault of my own, this changed shortly after beginning. I cannot argue too much as I signed up and agreed the price and payment. In hindsight however, I do feel that for what was offered (despite me not completing it) that it was fairly overpriced and not really great value for money. I did carry out some of the modules whilst I was still mentally invested and found it to be quite old fashioned revision videos. I am still paying off the full amount which I will owe for until the end of 2025 which I will be glad to see the back of. In hindsight, I feel I would have found the price of the exams online and set my own revision plan up as I can guarantee that it would not come up to the ££££'s that it costs instead of buying an 'exam package' from a third part company. Either way, lesson learnt.
The Consultant, James Johnston has been very amazing. Initially, I was unsure about the online program, but James took me through different packages and suggested options that I could consider that would benefit me. I have enrolled in the APM PFQ and PRINCE2 courses. I was given an orientation by the Student Tutor who also took time to explain how I could navigate the training platform. My experience so far has been great.
My experience so far with the learning people has been great. Billie has been amazing at explaining everything to me at the start and helping me with making the right choice and deciding what path to take. Got me set up and started learning in no time. At first I was sceptical about online learning but after receiving my orientation call from student care team, everything was explained to me thoroughly and my mind was put to ease. The platform is very easy to use and well structured. The best thing about it is that you can learn anytime and anywhere which is great for someone like me with a busy schedule. So far I have been very pleased with an overall experience, and would definently recommend it.
The new knoledge and experize I have gained during the first 3 courses (Comptia A+part 1 and part 2, Network+) is huge and demanding in regards of allocated time to learn especially when you work full time and there are other things to beside learning. The courses are well structured and the labs are OK. Maybe the labs should give more indepth insights on practical things such as MS AD, MS Azure AD or AWS. It should not be only pictures of how it should look but more hands on. The live courses... Well these should be on throughout the whole day or at least with courses being held not only in the morning but in the evening too. Maybe some of us have questions to ask on those courses. The mock exams should be structured more like the proper CompTIA real exams. Overall, a well equilibrated course.
