Extremely Disappointed with their Unfair Practices

I booked a free course with Flexible Learning by mistake, realising almost immediately that it wasn’t the right level for me. I contacted them the very next day to cancel — before accessing any materials or participating in anything — only to be told I’d be charged a £125 “admin fee” to cancel. While I understand there was a clause about this fee for non-completion, it’s completely unreasonable to enforce it when the course was clearly booked in error and cancellation was requested promptly. I didn’t benefit from the course in any way, and yet they’re still demanding payment. Worse still, the course was advertised as free, but this cancellation charge wasn’t made clear upfront. It feels misleading and unfair — and their refusal to show any flexibility or understanding shows a complete lack of customer care. I would not recommend Flexible Learning to anyone based on this experience. If you make an honest mistake, don’t expect any compassion — just a bill.

My tutor was amazing, patient and knew how to teach! my mental health was not grate when I started but my manager and tutor was amazing and so supportive, I finished level 2 hair dressing and am now onto level 3 and honestly loving it. Definitely recommend! well definitely recommend the camden branch all tutors are amazing kind and patient but in a constructive way. Had the best experience in level 2 hairdressing.

Mixed experience

The course material was good, although some of it was very brief. Some of the links provided to extra materials didn't work. Tutor support was poor, and you have to contact customer care for extensions which can be an ordeal as you are often on hold for ages. The course set up felt very corporate, more like a business than a college and it didn't feel like a supportive learning platform. Overall an interesting subject, but I would only recommend if you are a confident, independent learner.

Vicky Fisher and the learning curve people

Vicky Fisher, was a great tutor. Vicky reached out to me to find out if I was ok and when I explained what I was experiencing, Vicky guided me along the path of learning and was understanding when I was going through some rough times. I also found that the customer service team were great and respected me, were friendly and supportive when I needed to extend my learning timetable. I was suffering from complex post trauma and blackouts, which was affecting my life. I landed up in hospital and while in hospital I completed my training. Thank You to everyone at learning curve group You are really a very great and I am grateful for each one of You.
