Use at your own risk. Offered little help in terms of protecting my interests with my property purchase, and never responded to me when questions arose after the completion. I would report them to the law ombudsman if I thought I would get any resolution.

This review is for Bilal Ahmed at JS Law. Based on our experience, he appears to be unprofessional and possibly not even a licensed solicitor. The buying process began in February, but from the time we uploaded our documents on their eWay platform to when he finally began working on our case, it took three weeks. He is nearly impossible to reach: emails go unanswered, and phone calls are redirected to voicemail. Now itβs May, and for the past three weeks, we have been waiting for him to sign the Completion Statement, which is holding up our entire purchase. He has been uncommunicative, inefficient, and has caused significant delays. We also submitted the Declaration of Trust in March, yet they requested it again in May, claiming they no longer have it, without explanation. We will never use JS Law again and strongly advise others to avoid it. Hopefully, Mr. Ahmed will wake up from his apparent hibernation and take his responsibilities seriously.

The lack of communication is so frustrating, I'm still waiting for our conveyancer to respond to emails sent in FEBRUARY. Voicemails go unreturned, we are constantly having to repeat problems that we are having, I honestly do not know what we need to do just to get the most basic of communication out of these people. Our eWay portal access was removed, so we weren't able to see what was going on with the sale/purchase. We asked for it to be reinstated, which took much longer than it should have done. When it was reinstated, it was for a purchase made in 2017!! We still have no idea what is going on with our current purchase, we've asked our conveyancer several times to get this sorted and yet, we still do not have access. At this point, I can only assume that denying us access to these documents, yet still sending texts to say "there are 9 tasks outstanding" means our conveyancer is actually AI and not a real person because surely, no-one is actually THIS incompetent. I can't believe we're actually paying for this "service". It's been painful the entire time and we have no patience left. It's a shame that it feels there is no other alternative than to start leaving bad reviews everywhere because if their normal day to day service is this poor, I can only imagine the pure despair their complaints process will bring. Definitely avoid using JS Law if you can, do not accept them as a recommendation from your estate agent like we did, you will regret it. Update 7th June: I responded and gave the case number in response to their query below - I am not shocked that I've heard absolutely nothing back because JS Law are incapable of actually doing anything. eWay access still not sorted, and I truly believe the positive reviews here are fake, they must be paying for them. Absolutely useless company.

I have had positive experience using JS Law whilst selling my house. Arjun is very good at communicating. He is very friendly and happy to help if I'm struggling with online forms to fill in etc. My sale is not complete yet but so far I couldn't ask for more from this service.

Ruby Allen is a breathe of fresh air. A hardworking solicitor, who actually does what they say they are going to. No problems ever getting through to her, and even if she is busy she will email within a timely manner. As an agent, it has been an utter delight to deal with her and hopefully we cross paths again.
