Tech support failure

I have been using iDrive for several years to backup our desktop and laptop PC. I have generally been quite happy with the product until now. Seven weeks ago iDrive started failing during online backup of one particular 256MB file. After many interactions with support they referred it to their "backend team". There has been no progress and not a word. I ping them every week and get the same response. I've had to resort to a local backup which I then copy to Google Drive. I will note that this is about 20X faster than IDrive online backup.

So far I am happy with iDrive.

I have only begun using iDrive. I have used other backup systems which seemed confusing to me so that I was never sure I was doing it correctly. So far, I like iDrive because it has a user-friendly interface for someone not really computer-savvy. I can back up to my external hard drive as well as the cloud, both backups can be accessed readily. I can backup on demand or on a pre-selected schedule. I have not yet tried the restore function. I have not yet made a mirror image of my computer, but to back up all my personal data took about 3 hours. Incremental backups take a few minutes. So far I am happy and have recommended iDrive to two people in my life.

Great Introductory Offer & User Friendly…

I got a great introductory offer and the software is more user friendly than the Acronis package I replaced it with. Understandably, the first full backup took a long time. But the second was completed in just five minutes as only amended or new files were needed.

Great backup service, better than competition

I considered iDrive becasue it already seemed like one of the best services based on my online research. It turns out their prices are same or lower than competition (given the discounts). To me, the most important feature that differentiates this service from others is easy access to files via convenient web interface that offers previous for pictures and other files. Also the software that does the backup is easy to understand and use.

I was looking to switch from Gdrive and…

I was looking to switch from Gdrive and found iDrive during my research. It's definitely better value, packed with more features and has better security/encryption. It is slower than Gdrive, but that's the only feature which could do with some improvement - the rest of the features get a big thumbs up and very much outweigh the speed issue. Would recommend this product for anyone who wants cloud storage and back up facilities (and extra security to protect your data!)

Slow But Thorough

It took a very long time to do the initial backup, and it failed a few different times and had to be restarted, but it did finally finish and I am hopeful that it will effectively keep my files backed up.

Complete backup solution

Comparing the backup options and reading the reviews led me to choose IDrive Online Backup for local and online backups due to its customization and encryption features. The program is easy to set up and you can choose exactly what to backup when and where. The mobile app also seems to work fine. Just be prepared that the first online backup may take some time (days) depending on the computer specs, connection speed and storage size (mine is close to 2 T).

I've been trying to back up my photos…

I've been trying to back up my photos and videos from my phone endlessly preparing a list. Sorry, I couldn't make a backup. I do not recommend, poorly made. ---- they reached me by email and advise what to do. That was weird but it's solved my problem. Cos this site is about honest review I must adjust my review and give them credit
