My 94 year old mother has mobility issues and needs to wear compression socks, which she finds very difficult to get on. She was told of the Sigvaris Rolly compression aid and although it is expensive at nearly £57 she asked my brother to order it for her in the hope it would help with this daily ordeal. The Rolly arrived whilst I was visiting and so I unpacked it and spent the next 5 minutes trying to help her use it. Unfortunately, she was unable to bend down far enough to get it on her foot so I packed the item back in the box, using all of the original packing etc and left it for my brother to return during the week. I have now been informed by my mother, that after they had forensically checked the item and saying they found hairs on it, that they would not refund her, so have sent it back to her. I can see from the T&C's that they have this 'get out' clause of refunding if they can say they found hair or other damage etc, but how on earth is a person supposed to try anything on?, is anyone's home without a loose hair or spec of dust, it's ridiculous and I can vouch that the product was clean and barely out of the box when I re-packaged it (my mothers home is very clean by the way). I understand if something is damaged upon return but saying, without evidence, that there was hair found (please check T&C's for all the other 'get out clauses'), I genuinely believe this is the companies way of not giving money back and taking advantage of elderly people who have limited resourses. I am genuinely furious at this decision and would urge people to steer clear of EVER buying from this company!

In all my dealings with Health and Care, I have never had any problems. The staff are all friendly,helpful and very competent; as I'm a little hard-of-hearing,it's very good that my telephone calls when ordering items are answered so clearly.

I bought a neck collar from this company. I followed their guidance on sizing which states to order a size at least 2” bigger than neck size. The collar I ordered was size small which is 3” bigger than my neck but it kept opening when I tried to wear it. I sent it back as their website states the Velcro will stay closed when worn. They have responded to say they’ve tested the Velcro and it stays closed, which it does when not being worn! To add insult to injury they plan to return the product to me and expect me to pay £4 for the postage! Oh and apparently it was dirty when they received it. It was like new when they received it although I’m sure it magically isn’t now! Really disgusted. Update: they’ve responded to my email telling me I’d ordered the wrong size and they want £8 now to return the collar. The truth is I’d ordered the right size but this is the perfect excuse not to refund. I’m astonished at the high level of positive reviews on here although the negative ones mostly make the same point I’m making about the awful returns policy and the way they refuse all refunds on the basis of the item being either dirty or used or damaged or in my case - I apparently had ordered the wrong size even though I ordered the right size according to their website!
