BE FOREWARNED
BE FOREWARNED, as I was after paying attention to the many reviews reporting the fraudulent $99.99 charge. Yes, I still purchased their OBD device, which works quite well. THEN, two weeks later, there it was - that $99.99 charge. When I emailed them, they replied that they reviewed the confirmation email to me and found I had, in fact, added their premium service when I ordered the device. I fired back with two photos I took of their website's order confirmation page along with the confirmation email I received, neither of which showed any premium service. Three days later, I received a refund. Think of how many consumers miss this charge...
UPDATE!! The proverbial, 'IT', happened again! Yep, three weeks later, right after using the app, a $49.99 charge popped up on my credit card. I very respectfully, AND FIRMLY, let them know this was in error. Mind you, I then went into their app to see if I could generate some kind of membership into their Premium service, by accident - I could not. So I have no idea how this is happening, other than intentionally by them.
They, once again, said they went into my account and "confirmed" that I signed up. I firmly denied it and requested that they remove my information to avoid a third occurrence. They appeared to oblige me.
We'll see.
I like the device, BUT, order it from Amazon to avoid this mess. Hope this helps! ;-)
