They charge you a subscription fee…

They charge you a subscription fee automatically without you ever signing up for it and make some long winded bs way of going through their site cramming their product subscription down your throat to get your refund back, we will see if I even get the refund back…

Scammed by the scam detector

They sell a product to help you avoid being scammed, and then scam you themselves by signing you up for a long subscription and making it very difficult to cancel it. Very disappointed.

Worth the $$ accurately diagnosed…

On my last car it accurately diagnosed the issues I was having with the car. Kept me more informed of what I needed to fix. Assisted with me NOT getting “taken for a ride” at the mechanic.

Watch out for the $99.99 premium service you never asked for

The device itself seems fine but week after purchasing an unauthorized charge of $99.99 was charged to my credit card. Fortunately I get alerted immediately after my card is charged for anything. I sent an email to Fixd and they responded that my receipt shows I signed up for the premium service. Nope. It may well be that they snuck a checkbox in there that I didn't notice but I definitely didn't actively decide to spend $100 on a premium service. I bought the device because it was $20 and my check engine light was on. I hate this kind of scam.

I just got it in the mail & right away I plugged it in my car. Scanned it & sure enuf. It told me how much longer I would need an oil change with no codes popping up. Knowing that! The best way I can describe this feeling is peace of mind. Thank you fixd!! 🙏🏽🔥

BE FOREWARNED

BE FOREWARNED, as I was after paying attention to the many reviews reporting the fraudulent $99.99 charge. Yes, I still purchased their OBD device, which works quite well. THEN, two weeks later, there it was - that $99.99 charge. When I emailed them, they replied that they reviewed the confirmation email to me and found I had, in fact, added their premium service when I ordered the device. I fired back with two photos I took of their website's order confirmation page along with the confirmation email I received, neither of which showed any premium service. Three days later, I received a refund. Think of how many consumers miss this charge... UPDATE!! The proverbial, 'IT', happened again! Yep, three weeks later, right after using the app, a $49.99 charge popped up on my credit card. I very respectfully, AND FIRMLY, let them know this was in error. Mind you, I then went into their app to see if I could generate some kind of membership into their Premium service, by accident - I could not. So I have no idea how this is happening, other than intentionally by them. They, once again, said they went into my account and "confirmed" that I signed up. I firmly denied it and requested that they remove my information to avoid a third occurrence. They appeared to oblige me. We'll see. I like the device, BUT, order it from Amazon to avoid this mess. Hope this helps! ;-)

It is just good to have a bit of knowledge before walking into a place for service. At least the people servicing your vehicle will know you are not a complete novice if they plan to work you over.
