Dixons Estate Agents has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate professional and service, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.

Dixons Erdington, are a subsidiary of Countrywide run from their Warwick office. They provided abysmal management of my property. They missed 10 inspections over 5 years, lost the original contract, failed to handle tenant communications and their convoluted processes lead to repeated mistakes. Manager Raza Muhammad ignored my correspondence, was borderline aggressive when spoken to on the phone (the single time he spoke to me) and failed to provide the requested Terms of Business or confirm a move-out inspection, leaving me unaware of my property’s condition for re-letting. The branch was inexplicably closed during opening hours when I arrived to collect my keys, despite prior notification. The complaints department then made a series of derisory compensation offers putting their own interests before their customers. Completely unprofessional, always act like they’re doing you a favour, despite the fact you pay them for services they fail to fulfil. Use the lettings services if you are content that the Terms of Business you sign will be lost and misrepresented at every opportunity so they don’t have to do their job. Terrible.
Harassed my sister with multiple relentless calls after we went with another local estate agent for the sale of my mother’s house after her death. Despite telling them we were in a contract with another estate agent they did not stop and my sister blocked them.
Had arranged two viewings through Dixons (Quinton) - for the first viewing the agent told me only 15 minutes before the viewing that she was going to be 15 minutes late (I was already on my way), I arrived only to find out eventually that she was actually 45 minutes late, when we called to try and find out where she was our calls to the Dixon’s office continually rang through to voicemail. We (stupidly) arranged a second viewing a week later - this one was in my work lunch hour which I had made clear, I only had a small time frame to view the property. Once again the agent was 15 minutes late and once again my calls went unanswered - she eventually rang me to tell me she had arrived at which point I had already given up and started walking home. We received no apology. An overall atrocious customer experience with a lack of care and respect for people’s time.

Ian Walker of Dixons has been excellent throughout quite a complex flat sale. Despite all the complications of COVID and the fact that at one point we had to withdraw the property from sale due to uncertainty about the owner's health, a good and realistic price was obtained. Ian steered us through the process and was very helpful

I approached Dixons with the unfortunate belief and opinion of being a highly reputable leading hight street brand able to produce a property market appraisal local to the Dixons branch. Upon meeting the particular agent; Ricky Reynolds of the Warwick Road, Acocks Green, Birmingham B27 6RG, branch, I was very disappointed with the lack of market knowledge presented. Moreover, I felt a very disconnect to facilitate the customer needs. I still await after three weeks for them to produce a market appraisal and sellers fee proposal, after chasing them a second time, I feel it should be up to the branch to follow up their own enquiries and customer leads. It is a big shame on Dixons such a national brand and to also learn Ricky@Dixons is a branch manager - responsible for letting down potential custom and the company’s name going down the drain. Sorry - but their are plenty of other company’s who are greatly obliging and pro to their name. Time is precious for all and not following up from your own execution of home visits, then I would suggest a further rigorous solution to qualify inquiries is in need. Henceforth, at the Acocks Green branch, I would consider, vast training is required. For all other potential customers reading this; if you are requiring a greatly improved service, always try the neighbouring competition of estate agents on Warwick Road.

Lucienne Nicholls was our letting negotiator. Despite lockdown she got us a house we love and got things moving quickly and efficiently explaining everything along the way. Since being in the house she is still on hand to answer any questions we have. I would certainly recommend Dixon’s for lettings based on my experience

Would like to thank Matt Till From Halesowen Branch wholeheartedly for his attentiveness and understanding during a very difficult time whilst we were going through our move during last few months. Due to the virus everything took a lot longer than normally would but he ensured that all involved were advised often and he never failed to follow up and to keep us informed. Would highly recommend him and the rest of the team. We sold two properties at the same time one a deceased relative and our own personal home for which only really interested parties came to view and both sold in 2 days. Everything ground to a halt which was very stressful but in return to some normality the attentiveness if Matt Till assisted greatly in us achieving completion on both which enabled our purchase to complete too. We are now happily settled after a very difficult 6 months

Excellent service throughout by Ilan, Georgia and all the team. Even though the process was hit by the pandemic Ilan and Georgia were patient, helpful and supportive and we’re very grateful. An excellent team who we recommend highly.

Dixons are one of the worst estate agents going. Nobody ever seems to know what they’re doing and pass you from person to person. Everyone is miserable and unfriendly. Extremely difficult to reach all of the time. Had a survey booked in... they didn’t even bother to show up. Contacted them, they had no real reason, said they’d call back, never did. Was also interested in purchasing a property which was a disaster. Couldn’t get hold of anyone. Nobody got back. Went in, again nobody had a clue what they were doing, passed from one clueless employee to the other... all of which were miserable and clearly didn’t want to be there. Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional, poor communications and frankly a shambles.

Mr. David Lockwood and Mr. Andrew Thornhill are very unprofessional, desperately seeking gains even if it means throwing the local community under the bus. They have no interest to work with the locals, they sweep in and bully the locals. Its disgusting and unacceptable.

Dixons Wolverhampton - Worst estate agents I have ever known as a landlord - AVOID. As landlord I expect professional and honest service especially when premium service fee charged. To start with the tenancy has not been fully triggered; landlord’s signature (i.e. me) were pending and the keys were passed over to the tenant in rush. There is still shortfall in rent collected and actual rent agreed on tenancy agreement and its 8 months now, also still fully signed correct tenancy agreement is still pending. Overcharged estate’s agent service fee for couple of months and it took far too much efforts to correct it, also their corporate compliant department is absolutely joke. Worst, their local branch keeps sending surprise charges, fees every other month. I don’t blame other landlords shunning traditional estate agents of these kind and moving towards online or take on this task themselves.
