AVOID COLLINGWOOD AT ALL COSTS! Take into consideration all negative reviews and don’t overlook it like I did!!! Before purchasing I called them to double check everything and was mislead over the phone, which made me go for the worse option. I misunderstood the fine prints because they were not clearly written, and are also misleading. Not to mention the spelling mistakes over the emails exchanged. I purchased learner insurance for a set amount of months, passed my driving test before the policy ended and they are refusing to refund the money for the months I will not use the learner insurance (which I have no option but to cancel). I’ve lost Β£160. They are claiming I never spoke to one of their agents which is a lie. Why would I have bought a policy over others without having spoken to anyone? Do not recommend them in the slightest! Go for reputable insurance companies instead, cheap becomes costly and it’s not worth it! Regardless of policy you go for its clear that you will be at loss!

I had a truly excellent experience with Sarah. Her service was outstanding β€” not only was she professional and helpful throughout the entire process, but she also went above and beyond by sacrificing part of her lunch break just to make sure all my insurance procedures were completed properly.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless, as the rest of the one star reviews say, they hide a hidden cancellation fee that isn't outlined in the policy documents, just brushed over. Thankfully i've passed my test now so no longer require insurance from these scumbags. Why would you have a 12 month contract for learners when most pass in 6-7 months? Honestly tempted to just cancel payments to them at this point, ridiculous.

Avoid - rip off / Scam artist

aid for annual learners insurance - Jan to June used Subsequently passed, Collingwood refused to refund unused instead and cited T&Cs with extortionate costs. Crazy!! And they don't offer support Be warned - do not use. You are better to use a more reputable insurance that will not rip you off. Other customers experienced the same issues with these con artists. Please avoid Poor communication To Collingwood- do not comment with a generic "please call us reply". I already did this, with poor, robot replies Terrible insurer

The reason they are so cheap is because…

The reason they are so cheap is because of the hidden fees when cancelling and passing your test. Tell me why I’m being charged almost 200 for cancelling after I passed when it’s something that is mandatory. Please stay away unless you are willing to take the whole year to pass!!!

Cancellation charge

Cancellation charge Just be aware when your child passes their driving test, they will have to pay a cancellation charge, I'm sure this is in the small print, I didn't notice it. I asked if we could just let the insurance run out as we only had 6 weeks left anyway, they said no. I paid for the insurance in full at the start of the policy. When we cancelled the insurance they took the payment from my bank, so they must have stored my payment details and the 3 digit security code too. I would not recommend this company.
