Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

Amazing tutors and an amazing course. Great communication with all the admin personal. The only not 5 star experience is the fact that I did not have all the essays yet marked for the second year and I am in year 3 now. I asked for an extension and that delayed everything, it appears. I look forward to have the second year marked , hopefully before I finish this year (year 3). Otherwise I enjoy the course very much and all the facilitation that the college had offered.
I find that the Chrysalis course fits in well with my other commitments which is why I was able to start the course when I did. The tutors are supportive and readily available, experienced and give regular useful feedback. The tuition days are amazingly stimulating, informative and inspiring. I have found that the balance between expectation to compete the work and flexibility when life gets in the way has allowed me to continue on the course despite it being a very busy time in my life. One of the most helpful things about this course is the platform (Moodle) used for notes and assignments which is very clear and organised. It makes it easy to manage the workload even though there are lots of elements to submit at various times. The course relies on self motivation and home learning to subsidise tuition and this suits me very well as it gives autonomy and flexibility. I am very happy that I have chosen to complete my Counselling qualification with Chrysalis.

I found my study with chrysalis sometimes frustrating initially communication was difficult with appreciation of the Covid situation. However feel students at times could have received a better service including myself. However things improve significantly and I found student support to be very helpful. The biggest challenge to this course is securing appropriate placement thing that I struggled with and I have to say I've encountered professional snobbery against this organisation i.e. chrysalis. Which is a student I found disappointing however chrysalis have been supportive they have possibly could be during my ongoing placement issues. I found the course materials really really helpful I found the support I got from my tutor Steve Sharp to be outstanding. Compassionate insightful and helpful tutor as well as been able to deliver the course materials. The video presentations have also been helpful but I have to say some of the presentation is a little poor and some of the presenters come over quite patronising at times maybe this is because I have my own professional biased coming from a safeguarding professionals background. On the whole I found this course rewarding for my personal and professional development but we do need to sort out placement issues moving forward.
The application process for my counselling course was very organised and smooth. The communication was great both through emails and phone calls. My application included an interview which went really well. The staff I dealt with were a pleasure to speak to. Overall, the experience was straight forward and hassle free.
