Sandra our tutor for year 2 has been so supportive and helpful and brings passion and knowledge in abundance. She shares so much and her feedback is thorough and thoughtful and so helpful. She's been amazing and I'm excited to continue the second half of the year and progress onto year three. Thank you so much to the staff behind the scenes and placements team too for always being ready to answer queries and help where they can.

I have been with chrysalis for 2.5 yrs, my 1st year was enjoyable, with a great tutor, my 2nd year not so much, however, on year 3 1st session in January, my current tutor gave me structure, with slideshows & video clips to explain in more depth and giving examples of the different topics, I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 5 modules as I am a visual learner, the guidance given is great by Sarah Jones and she is a real fit for our group, I am looking forward to the rest of my final year with Chrysalis
I have had a great experience training with Chrysalis. The pluralistic content of the course has been very interesting and I believe has put me in good stead for my future as a counsellor. Most beneficial to my experience though is my tutor, Martina. Martina is incredibly knowledgeable, always puts us at ease, fills us with confidence and gives valuable feedback.

Course and teachers are helpful and good but regarding placement in the 3rd year it is incredibly difficult and Chrysalis do not help as much I have been lucky as the tutors are wonderful and pass recommendations to you

Tania from the south student support has been an amazing help when I waited for my SSP to be marked. She was empathetic, patient and solution orientated. In general, my last three and a half years were an enriching experience. This course is good value for money and particularly suited to people with a busy lifestyle, wanting to approach a new career while having other responsibilities. The tutors I had were knowledgeable and good at structuring the lessons in a student-centred way. The Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice is good for people who are interested in using more than one therapeutic approach in their practice, reflecting the ever so evolving pluralistic world we live in. Although this course doesn’t require personal therapy, I highly recommend it because it helps to look at one’s own blind spots and have some ‘mind gym’, which assists with offering a safe space to clients. When liaising with the student support, it is helpful to use respectful communication and to remember that external factors are out of their control and sometimes we also need to show some patience and empathy. They work hard to find a solution which is best for everyone. Highly recommended!
The online submission process hasn't always been straightforward..... Confusion and loss of access to Turnitin has been an issue and can be confusing with the layout of modules and units and components etc etc.... and what order to do them! Otherwise the course and learning really suits me for fitting in around a full time job.
We had initial issues with getting/retaining a tutor but we we did have a permanent tutor from our 3rd session onwards, she was amazing and gave us so much help and support. The office can be slow to respond to students queries so this could be improved.
The course is very flexible for people who work full time.
We had two tutors and neither were really trained to deliver the course. The information that they were providing did not match up with the course notes that were available on Moodle. The second tutor was particularly challenging, antagonistic and not in any way supportive.
Student support have been very efficient and swift with resolving any issues or answering any queries. Friendly team and very helpful.
