Buyers beware On collection the car wasn't as described. The car needs a full respray. Pics of the car were taken and sent to car & classic. Nothing has been done. This is now in the hands of my solicitors. Stay clear

Communication was poor
Communication was poor, unanswered E Mails and voicemails, calls not picked up. Not helpfull when you have an auction deadline. Clicked their "Contact us" on their website and sent 2 E Mails to complain.Still waiting for a response from their Head Office.

Best Classic Car Website
I had never bought a car via a classifieds website. . . until this last February. I rolled the dice and placed a bid on a car which I'd watched in the "on offer" section for awhile. The car moved on to a live auction. I realized that I'd lose my chance at having this special car if I didn't trust Car and Classic's team to make it happen. So I placed a bid in a live auction. To my amazement, I was contacted directly by a team member who offered to answer any questions I had about the car and post-sale issues. Not only was he personable and knowledgeable, it felt like I was talking to a legitimate broker of classic cars who knew the car and its consignor. Being overseas I am always leery of auctions anywhere outside of my comfort zone. Upon placing the winning bid I was directed by email to another gentleman who again offered to answer any questions and serve as intermediary with the seller for payment, delivery, etc. Everything went smoothly. Upon seeing the car post-sale it was everything that the listing represented and I made a friend of the seller as well. I will definitely use Car and Classic again. It is the best platform in the world, in my opinion, to find a classic European car.
