Terrible vehicles

Don't let them give you a silver Opel Astra at Warsaw Airport!! The actual pickup etc went very smoothly. However, when driving out of the car park I noticed the orange engine management light was on. I stopped and told the young lady who handed me the car. She said to ignore the light as it is a factory fault and the car was fine to drive. 10 minutes into the journey I was having real problems getting the car into gear and the clutch was very "sticky". I decided that I would drop my wife and 2 young daughters off at the hotel then go back to swap the car as it really wasn't performing. However, I got to traffic lights, I was in the middle of 3 lanes of traffic. The car began to shake violently. The car would not go into gear and then completely cut out. I tried the engine 3 or 4 times but when it did start I could not force it into gear. Having 2 young kids in the car they became quite scared as we were sitting ducks. We called the emergency number, got out the car and removed all our luggage and waited for help. It took almost 2 hours for the replacement car to arrive with lots of apologies. I have since sent them an email to say how upsetting the whole experience was. However, the reply didn't even contain an apology. They actually told me that there was nothing wrong with the car and they hired it out to another customer. Can you believe that??? I hope the next customer isn't in the fast lane of the motorway when it breaksdown again, they might not be so lucky!! They're playing with lives!!

Nur mit zusätzlicher Versicherung

Das Fahrzeug wurde im April über die Fluggesellschaft gebucht und mit der Kreditkarte bezahlt. Vor Ort mussten wir die Kaution hinterlegen und die Kreditkarte war nur 5 statt wie im Kleingedruckten auf der Seite 3 hingewiesen 6 Monate gültig. Alle anderen Möglichkeiten wurden abgelehnt und uns wurden 560.- Euro für eine Zusatzversicherung aufgezwungen. Nie wurde darauf hingewiesen was eher Täuschung und Geschäftsmodell ist. Man muss auch vor Ort nochmals ein Papier ausfüllen, dieses dient eher für die Provisionbeweis der abgezockten Touristen. Auf dem Zusatzvertrag der Versicherung war bereits alles vorausgefüllt, sie wussten schon das es hier was zu holen gab. Ganz miese masche von der Swiss unterstützten Carunion

Auto Union Greece (Preveza Airport)- would definitely use again. We were told to expect someone waiting with a sign on arrival - we couldn't find him for 10 mins which sent alarm bells ringing, however on calling the office they said to walk across the road and minibus would be waiting for us, which it was. This was the only negative experience we had. The transfer to their office is 1 min away. Our car was ready and waiting , we checked over and completed paperwork and all was fine. Drop off was quick and easy. They had minibus waiting to transfer us back.

Slechtste auto verhuur ooit. Huur hier nooit een auto. De autoverhuur is slecht vindbaar. Bij aankomst hebben we een uur moeten wachten omdat de capaciteit niet op het aantal huurders berekend was. De auto die we meekregen maakte een absurd klapperend geluid dat vanuit de motorruimte kwam. AutoUnion was niet bereid naar ons toe te komen om het probleem op te lossen. In plaats daarvan hebben we een halve dag opgeofferd om terug te gaan naar autoUnion. Het mankement aan het voertuig is goed te verklaren. De verhuurder maakte een testrit waarbij hij de auto zo belachelijk ruig bestuurde dat geen auto het langer dan een jaar zou overleven. Bij het afleveren van de auto was de verhuurder zeer agressief en onbeleefd. Omdat er wat vervuiling door bezoek aan lokale stranden in de auto lag nam hij €50 euro van de borg in beslag. Aan de manier waarop dit kenbaar gemaakt werd blijkt dat dit spelletje vaker gespeeld wordt en dat ze op deze manier extra inkomsten proberen te genereren.

Poor business relations, the customer service was unreasonable and unprofessional.

The company representative made a mistake with the booking that resulted in a fairly significant inconvenience for us and they still charged me an extra fee. It was an honest mistake and we didn't get upset. My problem was it caused us an inconvenience and they tried to insinuate it was my fault, which it was clearly not. Even after I proved it with emails sent from their company representative they still charged us an extra fee. They apologized but would not return the money for the additional fee. The amount of money was trivial, I am primarily disappointed in the poor business relations. The rental car itself was good and the one agent we had contact with was quite nice, however, the customer service agent was very unreasonable.

AutoUnion at Rhodes

AutoUnion at Rhodes. Unacceptably rude and non professional! They deceive the clients! Be careful! And they do NOT have their desk at the airport while they sell their services as though they had. And something abnormal with storage of the clients' credit cards details, which they copy in hand , including security code , and store in their papers .

A good car-rent experience!

A good car-rent experience! We reserved a class B car at AutoUnion via the website of Heraklion airport (came out cheapest within this class). I was not familiar with AutoUnion so it was a bit of a guess, but we were very happy with the car (Ford Focus), the price and staff. We rented the car for 7 days and both the pick-up and return went quick and smoothly, the car drove fine (some small scratches etc. but these were noted at pick-up) and within a day the excess damage blocked on the creditcard was removed. No damage, accidents or malfunction during our rental period so no experience with that. Overall, happy with the company, good value for money and would rent here again next time.

Very happy with the service

We were picked up at an easily found point 30 meters from Arrivals and after taking care quickly of the standard paperwork we were given the keys to a practically brand-new car. The staff was very competent and friendly. The information (road help number etc.) given was simple and easy to use. And all that for a really great price. I'll definitely use them again.

Chilling Experience

We booked autoUnion(Sunnycar partner) through the website of Arguscarhire. AutoUnion is located far away, outside the airport. We were received like having to pass a corrupt border control. 2 staff and 1 manager were looking at us like we were not important and to be avoided. After an unfriendly introduction, our VW Polo needed service and an oil change, so it gave a service alarm each time we started it. When we finally got our car, a girl, in what seemed to be the manager, shouted vilently at a man, I think he was cleaning the cars and organising them in a line, the man, clearly not knowing how to please her, had fear in his eyes. I felt really bad about it for hours onwards. At the return, we arrived 45 minutes early, we were told we had to pay an "after hours fine" for showing up early. The fine was €26,-, a punishment for being there in time, so we waited to be more "in time". There are 3 desks, and we are being ignored standing there at return(again). 6 staff are now laughing at our situation letting us feel miserable. No real english speakers, but it was just enough to embarrass everyone there. The airport shuttle drove like a getaway bus, and dropped us off at the worst point possible. I'm a positive man, and I've never given negative reviews, In this case, I do, since I was never treated so bad and I wish no one to be treated like this. I feel autoUnion Greece needs to change its staff drastically, or the way it's management is allowing this negative attitude to thrive in it's Greek branch. I will file a complaint at Arguscarhire since we booked through their office. Do yourself a favour and steer clear from autoUnion Klaas Underneath is the unsatisfying reaction of the helpdesk, after I send them above letter; Dear Daiane, please spare me the standard letter and tell me what is being done, really what has been done at your Greek outfit. If I do not receive a satisfying answer, I will post this review at all reviewing companies and websites I am able to find, and I will make a point out of it, that my search is thorough, and my review professional. Hope I am clear, this behaviour and very poor customer service is Unacceptable these days. Don't take it personal, you are not the one who caused this. auto con gomme bucate e mal riparate

Abbiamo prenotato con questa agenzia un'auto nell'isola di Samos. Noleggio volante senza sportello. L'addetto preme per il pagamento in contanti. L'auto è una Athos piuttosto vecchiotta con qualche rigata che viene rilevata dall'impiegata. Fin qui tutto passabile. Le gomme sono piuttosto "giù ".Facciamo i primi 15 km.e la gomma anteriore sinistra è a terra. Cambio gomma (faticoso perché mancano anche alcuni attrezzi per il sollevamento ) e ricerca del gommista per la riparazione ci portano via una mattinata.il gommista ci fa vedere che era già stata riparata male e da lì perdeva. Costo onesto di 7 euro e mezza giornata persa. Scritto alla agenzia ad oggi non risposto

Good Experience

Good lokation i Heraklion AirPort. Quick Pick-up, and friendly and wellcoming staff. Unfortunatley the class and size of Car, we had ordered, was by a mistake not Available. We Got a smaller Car instead, and a brandnew stationwagon (same class as ordered, but diesel with gps) where delivered to our hotel the next Morning. Because of the staff's Kind and professional handling of the case, it was not really a problem... Actually it was a positive service Experience. We also like the concept, that all extra's, insurences etc. Is included in the Price, to avoid suprises at Pick-up. We Will use this provider again and recommend:-)
