Do not use Alinta!

After receiving two extremely high bills I had to leave I couldn’t afford them any longer. My last bill was over 600 dollars to just heat our water! Switched to kleenheat and my monthly bill is only 25 dollars. How in the world can Alinta charge so much?! I asked them to review my bills and all they can say was I must be using less energy. You know what I am but not that much less. Upon review they charge 65% more per unit than kleenheat. I’m sorry but this is akin to stealing. Now that I have left I’m still having trouble paying off my last bill. We are a single income family and the costs were shocking for us. I make bi weekly instalments. I’ve received harassing letters saying they will hand off my remaining amount to a debt collector. They even go on to say my future credit will be destroyed. All this and I’m paying them, just not enough for these greedy folks. They said to call them if I had trouble paying but they refuse to let me continue in instalments because I left. They rather collect my instalments from a debt collector than work out a plan with me.

Biggest Fraudulent Company

Biggest Fraudulent Company. Shoupd be Blacklisted!! Please stay away from this fraudulent company. I want the company to be banned from Australian government as they are forcefully signing up customers from ther esales team and when the customer calls to cancel the connnection they overprice the bill and take that as a proof that there was a connection to that address. Alinta signed me up for electricity without the consent of the person on whose name the electricity account was. Then after the person called and cancelled they sent an electricity bill overpriced!!!( three times the bill of what we paid to the regular price agl) . Then after a few months they fradulently transferred the gas ( I had even left the property) not sure if it was really transferred also because there is no proof. They sent the bill. What they actually trying to do is call and sense a customer and play trick around. They kept calling and tried to manipulate with their words again and again. Then when I took a decision and said that I'm going to complain they asked me to disregard the gas bill and also said they would discount me for overpriced electricity bill and apologised me for what had happened. After a few months again they are sending me the same gas bill which was disregarded they are such tricksters. The bill which I paid for electricity they are considering it for gas ( there was no acvoutn for gas at all) Now when i spoke to them how cpuld they even do this. They are getting personal. The bills which they sent me was 60 dollars for 15 days of gas( fraudulently transferred) 364 for electricity for a month(fraudulently transferred)

Not sure if a real company, offered $25 gift card to compare bills, however never received. Offer is not that good - make sure you compare with other companies.
