Utterly disappointed! I recently got my car washed at Barkingside high st Tesco (Waves). I left my car and my keys with the Waves staff, while I went food shopping at Tesco, as they asked that they would need to move it once the car was washed. I returned, paid for it and left. Later, I noticed that the wheels weren't washed properly there was still quite a lot of dirt. I still thought because it was dark they may have missed some areas of the wheel rim. The shock was when I noticed that my parking card was missing out of my car. I have a tap card to park where I work. This card was in my car when I left it with Waves and missing when I returned. I am extremely upset and annoyed that Waves staff can not be trusted. When getting your car washed. DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING IN YOUR CAR! I won't be getting my car washed by Waves.
Waves Car Wash in Allerton Road Tesco in Liverpool have washed my A Class Mercedes and have superglued my rear badge back onto the car without my consent?! They have done a terrible job, further damaging the car's paintwork they did not make me aware of the incident. On challenging the Manager there, he was rude, aggressive and dismissive of the claim. Even saying contact the company, we are a franchise and it's my word against yours. The company have offered nothing and I am left having to pay for the repairs myself. Do not ever use these car washes!! As a franchise business, they will take no responsibility for the damage to your vehicle. Horrible experience, customer service and company.
Very expensive. Wash and clean inside without wax £40 for a BMW X5 at Tesco Exeter. Wont be going again
The first time we considered using Waves at Tesco Bangor, there waas a queue of many others like us, whose car had caught a load of the Saharan sand in recent storms, so we didn't wait. This time, we had a fairly muddy car from having had a couple of trips across fields and our nearest DIY car wash was out of action. This time, we did not have to queue and we opted for a basic wash without any waxing. The guy was thorough and did an excellent job, after which his colleague dried everything, including the insides of the doors. He offered to treat the tyres, but we were keen to get home, so declined. All in all, excellent service and we will definitely use Waves again, this being much easier than getting out our own pressure washer.
Absolutely awful. Booked Nissan Micra for gold service at £20 online. As soon as I arrived, some yob looked at a bit of mud in the door trim (normal winter road film) and said "not £20. Car too dirty." Needless to say, left and paid £4 at Asda self-service pressure wash and did it myself. Total crooks and well-avoided.
I take my car here after frequent trips to the tip and the team work very hard to get it back clean from absolutely filthy. Last time the coffee shop was shut so they invited me in for a coffee & a chat. The coffee was good too. 🌟🌟🤩
Tesco Alfreton. Very easy to book via the app and I selected the gold package. £25 for a volume 2 car. I have a dog, and have recently taken a lot of rotten wood to the tip, so the inside of the car and boot were filthy. After an hour the car was spotless! Everything, and I mean everything had been cleaned. Very friendly staff as well.
LOUDWATER TESCO 45 minute wait, £30 later and still a dirty car. Inside and out is what I asked for, the car isn’t big (hatchback) nor was it that dirty inside or out, the mats are the only thing that look like they’ve even attempted to clean and the outside is okay but the wheels are still dirty with a lot of brake dust remaining, there is dust still in cup holders, hair on headrests, leafs on my seat?Honestly it’s mental how they thought that’s acceptable, I’m not one to write reviews but i couldn’t resist, I don’t think anyone should be robbed of their money.
Excellent service at waves hand car was at Tesco south mereway northampton… brilliant job very happy
Just been to waves car wash at cardington road, car looking lovely and clea very happy, the guys were very helpful and polite. Would definitely use again thank you
Man was very unfriendly. £22 for a fiesta was told it was very dirty yes it was outside. Picked up and still dirt in boot jams. Dust on dashboard and carpets not hoovered thoroughly. Won’t be going back.
Used the Waves Car Wash in Woodford Tesco's, not a bad job of cleaning the car but they removed my residents parking permit from the windscreen and the car which I didn't notice until receiving a parking ticket, £65 for the parking ticket and £25 for the replacement permit makes it a very expensive experience, went to complain and ask for the permit but they denied all knowledge of it and I was told "prove it". Strongly advise that you don't leave your vehicle alone with them and check belongings before leaving.
I use the Waves hand car wash at Dereham, Norfolk regularly and always find the guys helpful, friendly and extremely good at their job. My cars are always pristine after they have finished and I will continue to use them. They cleaned my wife's Mercedes on Saturday 14th October and it was amazing. She was overwhelmed with how clean it was and the detailing. Keep up the good work guys and see you soon. Lee 🤙☘️
Went to waves again for my car wash and again outstanding job done thank you so much Mr Austin
At ISLEWORTH .. I went there with my car, outside wash only as the car was brand new 100 miles on dash. WAS charged £20 ridiculous. When questioned about the expensive price the guy in there was like “ £20 to much for you?” I said I don’t mind paying as long as it done properly. What a rip off for a poor job as it was left with watermarks everywhere and still dust !! Overpaid for a service that weren’t done properly rushed and definitely not looked after. Pooor very poor service don’t recommend anyone going there don’t bothered wasting your time & money. Especially when they are giving you dirty looks and shouting in a different language 100% being rude towards me no doubts. Never ever again I rather go tescos self wash £2 would have done a better job for sure.
Waves carwash Horsham Tescos Had my truck washed 1pm Tuesday the 2nd of October while I got lunch in Tescos Horsham. wedding ring was in the cup holder as Im a trades man and thats where I keep it when working. ( wife knows I do this before a 1000 wives cry out in terror and have for 6 years, when cutting and working with metal. ) looked to put it on later that day and it was not there. went back and said maybe the hoover sucked it up as im sure your all very honest. The ring was not found and police informed who did naff all as normal even if cctv showed only two people in the truck. Make up your own minds. A) I suddenly change my habit of 6 years and moved it and cant find. B Harry potter magically put a spell on it to make it vanish. C They have a scum bag working for them that I hope gets run over outside the porn shop getting there 30 quid for a Titanium ring. you never know Harry might make it re appear ! life lessons, remember not to leave things you care about in cars when getting them washed by others.
Waves car wash Sainsbury’s car park Stevenage. Very good wash, very polite and professional, taking the van there next time, thanks
I used this car wash today for the first time and popped into Tescos whilst waiting for the car to be washed. When I got home, I realised my house key (which was on my car keys) was missing! It’s impossible for it to fall off and never has with me. I went back and asked the guy for the manager who took my keys when I dropped off the car. I tolld him my house key with a key fob (that has my phone number on it) was missing.. He said he does remember seeing the key on my set of keys (odd as it’s not really distinguishable). I repeated to him I’d call the police to check their cctv. He then went straight to a customers car that had just been washed and ‘found it’ there. He behaved really odd, I told him it was odd it was in another customers car, IF it had fallen off it would be on the floor or picked up and in their office. His explanation was it would have ended up there as he washed that car next. How did one key fall off and end up in someone else’s car. Super suspicious of their intentions and they were acting really odd. Becareful if you ever take your car there. That’s my first and last time of ever going to one of those washes.
Tesco Caversham Reading. Best hand car wash I've had done - external. Lots of care taken (2015 Suzuki sx4 cross in silver) and now it gleams. Very impressed and will certainly use again. Cost £14

Waves Car Wash receives a mixed response from customers, with a significant number expressing dissatisfaction. While some reviewers appreciate the efficiency and quality of service, particularly at locations like Tesco Leigh and Langdon Hills, many others report serious issues, including damage to their vehicles and inadequate cleaning. Complaints frequently mention poor wash quality, with several customers noting that their cars were left dirty or scratched after service. Additionally, the pricing structure appears to frustrate many, with claims of hidden fees and inconsistent charges based on the vehicle's value. Despite a few positive experiences highlighting friendly staff and satisfactory results, the overall sentiment leans heavily negative, as many customers advise others to seek alternative car wash services.
