Shady business

Vessi Footwear receives a mixed response from consumers, with many expressing disappointment over product quality and customer service. While some reviewers praise the shoes for being comfortable and genuinely waterproof, others report significant issues, such as receiving damaged or incorrect orders and experiencing long shipping delays. Complaints about sizing inconsistencies and hidden fees, like restocking charges, are prevalent, leading to frustration among customers. Although a few individuals commend the responsive customer service, many feel that the overall experience does not justify the price point. The inconsistency in waterproof performance also raises concerns, as several pairs fail to keep feet dry after minimal use.

Vessi's goal is to scam people! The tracking link from my order shows the package has been delivered to the sender's mailroom in British Columbia, not to me. This is a problem for two reasons. For one... See more

Ordered a pair, quick delivery. No issues at all.

I ordered Vessis in plenty of time before a trip to South America. They finally arrived and there were mens very large shoes inside the correct box size. I asked for a rush replacement and the new shoes arrived the day before my trip. The shoes feel 2 sizes bigger than my usual. They are huge and my feel slide around in them. They are wayyyyy too long. Very messed up sizing. Absolutely don't recommend.
Not waterproof for long. After 3-4 months of light wear, I have wet socks in the toe area. They're a moderately comfortable shoe but after 4 months, my socks stay dryer in my converse walking through wet grass. When I mention this to other friends who have bought them, they mentioned experiencing the same thing (some later, after 8+ months of wear, but with the shoe otherwise showing very little wear and tear). They're an okay shoe that really had the waterproof feature their only selling point, so pointless without it.
Trying to post here since Vessi didn't publish my first review and now gives me an error message every time I try to post another review that is unfavourable. The instructions for sizing were confusing. Narrow fit, size down? I sized up since they called the shoe narrow and have a very large clown shoe now. There's about an inch space at the top and shoe makes a thumping sound when I walk. No arch support and shoe is very flat. Ankle design leaves a lot to be desired as they tear up my skin each and every single time I put them on for 10-15 mins. Now if I slip them on, I have to have the back folded down making it not the ideal waterproof shoe but more of a sandal. Knit design is hot especially when needing to wear socks to prevent the ankle skin tearing. Regrettable purchase.
I've had a great experience with Vessi overall. I was able to catch a sale closer to a euro trip I had. When I was in Portugal it was raining and I was so happy to be able to use my vessi... I'll tell you, it was surprisingly amazing! It was pouring on the beach and I had my vessi on after seeing some forecast for the day. Stepped in puddles to test it out and let me tell you, my socks were dry! I got myself another pair in a different style and colour after I got back. They have a 12 month warranty for defects and will replace! I had one pair for over 12 months, and they made an exception. Received my brand new pair today in the mail! Great customer service. Great product.
Shoes not waterproof at all, they are RAINPROOF, so water drops on them should be fine. The moment you step in a puddle however, water gets in and your socks are all wet. Noticed that when walking in my first puddle a few weeks after buying the shoes, after the return date was passed. Tested my girlfriend's shoes as well afterwards in a bucket of water with 3cm of water and the same happens. It looks like the water gets in between the fabric and the show sole, so both materials are waterproof however the cheap glue or the bad way those are attached together lets the water in. Check on Reddit and Google, you will see plenty of people with the same issue. Website was fine though, transaction was ok, we received the products and didn't feel like it was a scammy website. Just money wasted and once those shoes die we're going to buy Vans, Nike or any Gore-Tex shoes instead
Great shoe. The most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. There is one problem though and to me it’s a dealbreaker. I got these wonderful shoes in February 2024 and I been wearing them everyday for 6 months. Taking them to work, on my days off. Pretty much using them 24-7. Now the soles of my shoes is worn and I will have to buy another. Thing is other shoes I have bought in the past that were a different brand lasted 2 years with the same amount of use. I really don’t want to buy a pair every 6 months at 150.00 a pop. I’m not at all rich. I live on a budget along with my wife. So maybe in another year I will buy Vessi again, until then I will have to do with my other shoes
Vessies Nederland is een Chinese fake site. Vessies is een Australisch bedrijf dat niet in Europa levert
I purchased shoes through the Vessi Australia website. After a week without shipping confirmation I emailed the customer service address on the website and the email bounced back. Their phone number had no answer and direct messages through their website also went unanswered. After a month of trying to contact them I had to lodge a transaction dispute through my bank and got my money back a couple of months later. Their Australian website is still up, fishing for new victims.
After following the instructions about size on the web page I ordered shoes from Vessi's. After wearing them around the house for a few days I went out in them just once to see how they were . They were way to narrow and not wide fitting as stated. I tried to return them to be told after sending in photos that they "didn't meet the criteria for return" I don't know why,
After a week they still had not shipped, asked for return and they accommodated but going to take 5-10 days to get refund back. They took the money from my account immediately but I have to wait 10 days to get it back!
Vessi has terrible in-store customer service and has claims that are false (such as having a wide toe box on their site). I purchased the wrong size online and was guaranteed in-store exchamges/returns. The retail employees didn't want to honour that. After wearing the shoes for a couple weeks, realized that my toes were getting pinched. Now I have to throw away the shoes after only 1 month of use. Thanks, Vessi!
Having seen so many Vessi ads on Instagram for the past year or so, I finally took the plunge and purchased my first pair of Weekend shoes. I ended up buying the wrong size (the last Lunar New Year Red shoes they had), and the exchange process was absolutely painless. For the record, I think that Vessi sizing is accurate and for wider feet like mine, the Weekend shoe is best. Each customer service rep I chatted with virtually (for different reasons) was very helpful, and I was able to get the correct shoe size (in Light Sage) in no time. So far, so good. Yes, the shoes are indeed waterproof, and are quite possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I am NOT a shoe guy, and don't spend much on shoes (usually $75 or less for a pair) other than my Blundstones, which I love. If my Vessis last a year of frequent wear without losing their waterproofing or level of comfort, it will have been money very well spent. I'll be buying another pair very soon.
I love the look and fit my Vessi weekend shoes that I purchased in white. I just want to warn others though that if you buy these in white, they get dirty very quickly and are difficult to clean. Even though they say on the website that their shoes are machine washable, I found that after only 10 days of wear, the machine washing did not get them clean and I’m going to have to throw them away already. Customer service’s advice was to clean them “sooner rather than later when they are dirty” and scrub them with a brush with baking soda and vinegar, etc. Disappointing and that is not really, the same thing as promoting yourself as easily machine washable. So if you’re considering these shoes, I would not recommend any white ones.
Be aware. These shoes are made in china. ( they say china Vietnam Cambodia when asked ). Not made in Canada although apparently designed in Canada so they are taking advantage of the cheap labour force in underdeveloped countries . You also will be charge tax again if you return your shoe for a different size. Not sure why as it was just a loop exchange so I was not credited with anything. Stomburst Shoes are massive - similar findings in line using Amazon or even Temu ( since they are manufactured there anyways ) for a LOT cheaper with easier return Late entry. - finally received an update saying this was an error and won’t be charged. -no one has yet to tell me why the size 5 is a completely different color than size 6 despite called same - they confirmed the same color ordered - the shoes look very large but size 5 fit- and website says made in several places including china
I can honestly rave about the service provided by Vessi Footwear. I have had several text conversations with Vessi's online agents, and every time, I come away smiling. Most recently, I needed help with some exchanges I needed to make due to ordering the wrong size, and the agent was very helpful and understanding. The exchange process, all done online, was very easy to navigate. Kudos to Vessi. I only wish you had a pair of shoes that is truly a narrow fit. I recently bought the SOHO, and it is much too wide for my feet. KUDOS to everyone at Vessi Footwear—keep up the great work. I highly recommend Vessis to everyone I know.
Brought a pair at the start of April. Tracking information says they have been delivered but have yet to arrive. Have contacted their support via their website twice and haven't heard back either time.
Placed an order end of April, start of May. No communication after the order qas sent out. Kept an eye on the tracking. Apparently the trainers had been delivered according to the tracking site. Got no confirmation email, emailed the both Vessi and the company dealing with the tracking Monday - still no reply from either (Vessi have been quick to reply before). I have checked with neighbours and possible places nothing. I have paid literally for nothing.
I had been interested in Vessi footwear for a while as they are advertised as being waterproof, breathable and lightweight and comfortable. I got the Women's Weekend shoe in marble white. Super cute shoe, love the look! But unfortunately, if I wear them for up to 3 or more hours, my feet felt like the were on fire! They get so hot and I do not feel the material of the shoes is as breathable as advertised which was unfortunate. I also do not find them very supportive for my feet. Not much of a cushion. In other words I did not feel like I was "walking on clouds". All in all, I have to say I am a little disappointed about my Vessis and do not feel like they met my expectations..
I was excited to purchase these shoes for my fall trip to Italy. I tried them on and wore them for a bit (inside) to make sure they fit. I normally wear 6.5 or a 7 and I had ordered a 7. All seemed fine. Then, I decided to really try them out on a 2 week trip to Mexico. Oh no! When I wore them all day (out sightseeing) my feet felt like they had been wrapped tightly with ace bandages and began to throb! I could not wait to get back to my hotel to get them off! It was not a length problem and I don't have a wide foot. I think it must have something to do with the fabric. Yes, the shoe is hard to get on (due to no tongue), but once on, it should be comfortable. I tried to wear them again a second day, thinking maybe they just needed to stretch a little, but the same results - constricted, throbbing feet! When I got home, I emailed Vessi and after going back and forth, their only suggestion was for me to store the shoes with rolled up oversized socks stuffed into them! Also, they looked filthy after the 2 day wear - and no, I didn't run through puddles like they show in the advertisements. Good luck trying to clean them by hand!
