Easy to switch. Prompt response to a query. All good so far. Rates seem competitive currently
Absolute conmen. Garbage of a company. I gave them my yearly usage, agreed a DD cost, after the cooling off period they demanded more. I offered to pay a yr in advance, they agreed but refused to lower DD. DO NOT SWITCH TO THIS COMPANY. I'll be demanding a refund for credit and also be switching as soon as I can.

I emailed in a question on the new rates and had a very quick response from Gemma - which I didn't expect because it was a Saturday morning. Really good customer service
I experienced a wonderfully swift phone answer, follow up call and email when asking to reduce my payments due to being a few hundred pounds in credit! The credit was returned within the hour and customer service staff could not have been more helpful! 5stars Michelle

I had a phone query for Tulo Energy and was expecting a long wait before the response .However the reply from Gemma was extremely prompt .She was pleasant and knowledgeable . My query was answered to my satisfaction and in a fraction of the time it would have taken my old provider .
Through Martin Lewis's alert re: energy price cap increase predictions, I arrived at Tulo. I was nearing the end of the transfer form when I was advised that they would be presenting for a DD on 14/2/2025 despite the request to target the end of the month before switching. i.e. they wanted payment before they were actually responsible for the energy supply. I view this as unethical and deleted my request.
Tulo installed SMETS2 meters which do not work. They removed working SMETS1 meters that had been working. As the new meters have NEVER been set up correctly I am unable to supply them with a meter reading. They said this would be sorted out back in August 2024. Still not working.
So apparently I have to pay 500 a month for 4 people and suddenly over 800 in credit turned in nearly 200 in debit cause I use so much gas and electricity, even through I was travelling for nearly 3 months , no one home and still paid £300 a month. Avoid ! Unless you like your money stolen . I will be changing very soon cause enough is enough
So far very good! I’ve been with Tulo Energy a little while now, I was slightly dubious at first as it’s a smaller supplier however they very quickly changed my opinion! The level of customer service, pricing and smart meter installations have been brilliant. There was a slight issue getting my gas smart meter set up (no fault of Tulo) however they were transparent, kept me updated and resolved the issue as soon as they could. Always friendly and happy to help, quick to answer calls, chats and emails! Very impressed!
I switched over from British Gas in the hope it would be cheaper, it’s not! I’ve been with them 4 months and they’ve all me every month for a meter reading. Including on NYE afternoon! Because I haven’t submitted one they’ve doubled my DD. Basically holding me to ransom. Avoid this company honestly, not worth it.
