Just lovely
Just made first purchases and am absolutely delighted with both the wool coat and shoes. Great quality and beautifully presented in gift wrapping.

I took my daughter for a haircut at Trotters Westfield. Charlotte - the hairdresser - was incredible with my daughter - reassuring, fun and engaging. Great haircut and experience overall. She kept also checking with me that I was happy with how the haircut was coming along. I particularly liked how she set my daughter up for a photo by the fish tank at the end, offering to have her try one of the hair bows. She gifted her treats and even left her some for her brother who wasn't there that day. I’d say the best hairdresser experience that we have had.
I’ve been in two minds whether or not to leave a review. I was went along with my wife to have my child’s haircut. Well the haircut was great, but my problem was with how 1 of the hairdressers was speaking with her customer. They were speaking in Spanish which I am also fluent in. Having to listen to a person putting down her colleagues is disgraceful especially from the boss. Felt ever sorry for the girl cutting my child’s hair as she had no idea. On watching them both I would have definitely chosen the hairdresser we had as she was nice spoke to my child and wife equally, took her time and gave a great experience. The boss which I found out was called Anna, only spoke to the mother and it was all about her and how hard she has to work to pick up after everyone. Poor management.
Trotters Selfridge Haircut This is a shocking place to get a haircut. Reminds me of those cheap £5 places in central London and to find it in the middle of Selfridges. Poor quality of products they used, awful hairbrush/scissors. Bang in the middle of their clothing where management are happy to talk in front of customers about where they are planning to eat. Worst place to take your children, no mirror nothing. Avoid at all costs. Appalling. My child felt horrible afterwards and cried.
The member of staff went over and above to locate the coat I was looking for
I have been taking my son to Trotters in Turnham Green for a haircut for six years. However, due to the store managers' approach, I had two shopping experiences that did not go well. Once, in six years, we were 7 minutes late for a haircut appointment. Although a solution was found, the store manager was not happy about it. During a haircut, I showed my son a sweater with a knight on it to see if he liked it. While we were looking the store manager came over and said "Your hair is getting cut and you are also getting a sweater what a spoiled child you are." After that, I decided not to buy the sweater. Today I wanted to ask about shoe sizes while picking up my son from school, to check if they had the size before coming back later. The sales assistant was helping another customer, and while the customer was deciding between two shoes, I quickly asked if they had the size I needed. The sales assistant said yes, so I said I would come back with my son. At that moment, the another store manager reminded the assistant to focus on the other customer. I didn’t understand why such a small question needed a public correction. It was not a pleasant moment. As I was leaving, I tried to explain that I didn't want to disturb anyone and just asked a short question while the customer was deciding. The response I got was, "you sure?" Because of this experience, I decided not to return to buy the shoes, even though my son needed them for an event the next day. All the staff are kind and helpful, but the management’s approach to both employees and customers creates an uncomfortable atmosphere. We really like the hairdresser there, but if they leave, I don’t think I will ever visit the store again.
Thank you for sorting out my rather complicated exchange. The team were brilliant.
We have been loyal customers of Trotters Hairdressers, but our most recent experience at the Kensington branch was the worst. Our hairdresser, Eden arrogantly refused to cut our son's hair. In past, we have often had to wait beyond our scheduled time. At our last visit, we waited for 15 minutes, and the previous time, the professional didn’t even show up, and the company failed to inform us about the cancellation in advance. Today, we arrived 8 minutes late and were met with unnecessary rudeness and arrogance from Eden, who refused to serve us. It’s incredible how their perspective on punctuality shifts when they are not the ones at fault. This inconsistency is unacceptable.
Absolutely shocking experience. Ordered a gift and very expensive gift bag. Waited 2 weeks chased it and they said it was delivered. It was not. No signature, no proof of delivery of parcel nothing. They said they look into it. Four days later I chased them on my to be told they’d raise an investigation but it takes 72 hours. I asked why they’d left it 4 days before commencing the investigation, no reply. Still no product, no accountability from company, no refund nothing. The have failed to address the issue. Beware they will take your money and then not deliver the goods, and not reply to emails. Have escalated it to the credit card fraud team who are taking legal action against them on my behave. AVOID
One of the few places that stock lovely bloomers for babies. As such, I’ve purchased quite a bit from here. The sizes come out small for their vests and jumpers but the bloomers are more sizeable so last longer. If the vests and jumpers had a little more wiggle room or small sizing bracket, then I’d give 5 stars. My small 11 month old no longer fits in their 9-12month or 6-12month vests, which is a shame as some were purchased quite recently. The products are well made and the designs are generally traditional and gorgeous. Though many of the items do need to be washed separately, even if not stated on the tag, it is worth doing so!
Dishonest store don’t buy from them. I went to buy a Christmas present for my son and wanted to use store credit that I have on the account. They claimed they wouldn’t be able to find it in my account and needed to present the gift voucher - even though when I got the store credit they specifically informed me that it will be in the account so I wouldn’t need to produce it. When I pressed for them to check they found it but then claimed that the credit has already been used! Sounds like lots of excuses to simply not honour their store credit. The only people who would be able to use it will be the staff. Completely dishonest behaviour and I could never buy anything from them anymore.
Love their jumpers, good quality products from wool, gorgeous designs. I usually buy them as gifts, highly recommended.
Do not order from them!! Ordered a dress from John Lewis unfortunately did not arrive and communication was awful
Beware of the increase in cost to ship your order outside the UK! Very bad experience shipping a Trotters baby gift to Canada ; I had to pay an additional 35 % of my total order cost because of VAT and customs fees! In addition to the £20 DHL fee. It was never communicated to me and I thought I got a refund for UK VAT. Actually the goods prices displayed on the website are exempted of UK VAT ( children clothes, books…) which means you pay full VAT at the arrival (as you get no refund on your UK VAT) Buying / shipping from Trotters internationally ( outside the UK) is simply not worth it. Horribly expensive.
I applied for a job here, coming across from 5 years in a flagship London store of a luxury retailer. They still wanted me to do a day of unpaid work as a “trial”. I did so, working extremely hard in the busy store on a Saturday… only to get given a generic “no, thanks”. No feedback, no reason, no suggestions. There were two others on the same day, also on trial, who also got a ‘no’. I think they just wanted some extra coverage for a busy weekend. I would hate to think what goes on elsewhere in the company that we don’t get to see. For that reason, I will never again shop here for my children.
The delivery and items are nice but the quality is not good. I’ve had two jumpers that developed a fault. One wool jumper developed a hole and I was given a refund and another cotton knit started to come apart despite only being worn a few times but it was outside the refund policy. I don’t think their clothes last and they’re not very sustainable.
Ordered some beautiful pyjamas for my son for Christmas. Really pleased with the quality and the surprise lollipop in the package was a nice touch and much appreciated by my little boy! Would order again as the clothes on the site are lovely
What’s not to love? Great clothes regular deals and prompt service. I’ve bought several high quality traditional clothes for my son and have been pleased with the products and service every time.
Wonderful service from Julius/Saffi a Customer service advisor! He was very friendly and attentive. He went out of his way to assure that I am well informed and offered service accordingly. Customer foccused and professional. Keep up with your good work Julius. Always recommend Trotters,it never disappoints 10/10 service!
The worse ‘first hair shave’ 🪒 experience. The person who was harrasing the baby with the shaving machine. (Baby is 14 months old.) I had an appointment with Kings Road and as soon as the baby and her nany entered instead of greeting they told them that I was not there but, according to the nany the women (I think her name is Anna from Italy) was turning on and off the machine to harrast the baby while waiting for me. Getting the machine closer to the baby’s head and switch non and off. And keep telling I need to go. This is the most disgusting experience I have ever had. When I arrived the baby was crying in the chair.
