Just returned from this Saga holiday at Enotel Lido, Madeira. We had a very relaxing week after a horrible year for us. Loved the Saga rep she was so kind and bubbly. She organised a mattress topper immediately as the beds were very firm which helped a bit. Tea and coffee facilities, fridge for milk and tins of soft drinks. Body lotion etc provided in bathroom. Two shower heads, but could only use one, the smaller one we couldn't twist the knob. It had actually been pulled out of the wall by someone trying to turn it. Not the biggest room or balcony but sufficient, it could have been a bit more comfortable for a 5 star, even the chairs with rock hard. We loved the food and stayed in the self service by choice, there were two al a carte restaurants and other people said they were good. Entertainment was a bit boring, piano and singing mainly. The pool area was lovely, comfortable sun beds, never had a problem finding two, no one books them at dawn, which was great. Waiters around the pool always offering drinks to keep you hydrated. The pool towels were welcome although a bit thin, they were the same dimensions as the sunbeds which was a good idea. The promenade outside was nice with plenty of places to sit and people watch. Difficult to get in the sea unless you are young and fearless.
Don't always believe what Saga tells you
Good afternoon Saga 10/6/25
What follows is part of a conversation with one of your Saga representatives who, despite what she says, did not send me the full transcript of our conversation. However I took my own copy. I felt she was, for some reason, being less than honest with me so I contacted the hotel in question directly. Might I suggest that if this holiday is unlikely to take place you either make that clear on the web page or take the page down as it is false or at the very least misleading advertising. It would also be helpful if you informed your phone operatives of current events.
CharlotteYou don't need to keep writing hello, I am here I was just reading what you put.11:06
Ok11:06
CharlotteAt present our 2026 dates are not on sale, we do not know at this moment when they will be. As soon as the holiday is available in 2026 it will be on our website.11:07
Can I have a copy of this conversation11:07
CharlotteSure, I will email it over to you shortly. Was there anything else at all I can help with?11:07
What follows is confirmation from the hotel in question that the advertised specialist holiday can not possibly take place in January or March as is usual as the hotel is closed for renovation. On their site Saga invites you to phone a given number to book the holiday and representatives are still trying to imply the holiday is available.

Jatin Sainani not recomended
Such a liar, Jatin Sainani, the travel consultant from Saga Tourism said that he is selling me the Hop-on-Hop off ticket %15 less than if I would have bought it from the company outside Dubai Mall. What happened was he sold me the ticket for $22 more. I paid him $90 where I could paid $68 the Hop-on-Hop off company outside Dubai mall. Not only that, he even did not have a card machine he made me waist 20 minutes so he could process my master card he made me go late to the Hip on Hop off bus. I could not see all stops especially that my plane was later on that day. It was my biggest mistake in Dubai that I dealt with such a thief and a liar.
They can not be trusted, don't let them ruin your vacation
They are using Indian SEO spammer Jhonchase to comment spam travel blogs with their links. How can you trust such an unprofessional company resorting to such a desperate and despicable actions?
