I love Italy and going with the travel department made everything so simple and easy as everything is organised from flights to excursions to accommodation. You just have to turn up

Elka, our tour guide was excellent, she had a vast historical knowledge on Bulgaria and was also very helpful and courteous. She was a definite hit with our group

We are just back from a wonderful week in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast and enjoyed it from start to finish. The agenda was well balanced with day trips to Capri and Pompeii and still enjoy time to relax and enjoy beautiful Italy. The group we were with were great fun and we enjoyed our time with them immensely. This is our third holiday with The Travel Department having done a sea cruise and a river cruise previously. Each one was different, but importantly we visited places we wouldn't have without a guide and we had great fun with our fellow tourists.

Great holiday but wd like a day or two more downtime built into the holiday

Our guide Hài was so helpful and knowledgeable. All the hotels were superb. The day trips were well planned and just the right amount of time spent in each location.

From the moment we stepped off the plane in Cairo, we were taken care of by travel dept. Hotels, cruise ship, tours, food, tour guide “Dodi”, absolute brilliant. We definitely got our money’s worth & more. Well done travel dept, been with yourselves several times, & already planning on our next trip 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great guide. I enjoyed Yves Saint Laurent Gardens. Could have done with an extra hour there. I would have paid more for an extra day or so. Dellarosa Hotel great location.

We have just returned from Italy, Sorrento ,Amalfi coast. A lovely part of the world. The real disappointment were the meals in the evening. We stayed at a supposed 4* hotel. The rooms did not suggest 4*. The staff were pleasant and the location had the most delightful views. After a day travelling you look forward to a pleasant meal in good company , a focal point of social interaction . However, our group were very unhappy with the food on offer. The Travle Company menu, not the hotel range of fair which I'm sure might well have been very tasty. No, we got the canteen menu equivalent. Tasteless and just not what I might have expected from a 4* experience. I never saw such a large group of travellers spontaneously march to the recpetion after the first dinner to complain. It got no better. Steadily people including our group spoke with their feet and dined in the local village of Sant'Agata. So if you are budgetting for your next Travel Department holiday allow extra for the diners outside the hotel. I should add that this is our second trip, a special trip to mark our 70th birthdays, with the Travel Department......likely to be our last. It's such a pity. The rest of the experience was fine and we have no real complaints other than the accomodation and diners. My final point is the the breakfasts were excellent, so we started the day well probably because this was the standard breakfast for all guests. In the evenings the Travel Department canteen menu differed from the hotel and other guests menus. I have to conclude that this was to keep their costs down. Please please please Travel Department ( to paraphrase the idiom) Don't spoil the trip for a hap'orth of tar!!!

We just returned (13/05) from a walking holiday in Granada Spain, based in Lanjaron and wish to commend our guide Paola as without question the best guide we’ve ever encountered… Well done Paolo & TD Holidays👌

Travelling to Vietnam with the Travel Department made this trip extra special and memorable. We were met in Hanoi airport by the most fantastic,helpful and engaging guide, Jimmy Chung. So began our journey to excellently selected hotels, restaurants, cities, walking tours, bus tours,boat trips. Each transfer was so smooth. We were clearly informed about meeting times, itineraries at all times. Our group of 19 all rated this trip as top class. It truly was a journey to highlights of Vietnam. It was a very memorable holiday to this beautiful country and an education to.its history. My partner was new to group travel and will happily book another holiday with the Travel Department in the future.

Having studied its history and mythology in the past, I was not sure what to expect from your tour. Our guide, Katerina, was exceptional in many different ways including: the profound depth of her knowledge of both the history of Ancient Greece & Greek Mythology which she shared with us in very generous measure, her enthusiastic, friendly & charming demeanour, her in-depth responses to questions, her guidance on many fronts and her assuring care of all group members. Although I have travelled frequently over the years, this was the first time I have done so with the Travel Department. Based on this experience, I look forward to future guided tours with you. This was our third time to travel with Travel Department From the start to the end of the holidays your looked after and guided on tours , I would recommend anyone to give them a try, I’m looking forward to travelling with them in the future…

Everything was great from booking to returning, I've used other companies in the past but travel department is by far the best, the timing of flights was great as no waiting around between flights ( took 2 flights as travelled to china) Everything went so smoothly and was so easy, our tour guide Angela is simply the best I've encountered, she was absolutely amazing with such a great sense of humour, it was clear to see how professional and passionate she is about her role and how as a person she is so natural and caring, she really looked after us probably more than she needed , such a wonderful person and a great credit and asset to any company, this was my 1st experience with travel department but certainly won't be my last.
