Wonderful guide Gretta went above and beyond to make our holiday a memorable experience. Her care for the whole group and exemplary knowledge was a big highlight.

It was a fantastic trip to Tuscany with the Travel Department. Our guide Ruben was the best. As well as being a very good guide he was a great character full of fun and laughter.

The hotel was the best hotel we ever stayed in on a Travel Department holiday. The transfers and excursions were all punctual and efficient. The guide was very informative and helpful. The only downside was the extremely hot weather.

Spent a week cruising the River Danube on the Amadeus Riva. The cruise was excellent from start to finish, with many fascinating places to visit. The vessel was luxurious, the food was sumptuous and the staff were so helpful and courteous. Thoroughly recommended.

I would highly recommend the tour to Sicily. Our Guide, Anthony, was excellent. The hotel was great and everything else (excursions, bus, etc) was sorted out. Really enjoyed my time and I will book with Travel Department again.

Our hotel, though classed as a luxury hotel was far from it in the bedrooms. Slept 3 nights out of 7, due to noise from the street below. No understanding from our guide or from the reception staff. This holiday was too expensive for what we received. I will think very strongly about going with the Travel Department again

Well organised. Guided tours well spaced out over the week. Comfortable coaches. Good recommendations from the guide re restaurants etc. Hotel lived up to expectations.

I adored Puglia. Such a beautiful place, friendly people, great food and wine. The guide and driver were exceptional, so generous with their time, skill and knowledge. The hotel was perfect with very friendly staff and great service. I’d highly recommend this holiday.

This tour included all the important historic towns in the Langhe area. The main food products of the region were well covered, chocolate, cheese and wine. The central Turin hotel was of very high standard. Laura, the guide was charismatic and constantly cheerful. The Travel Department attracts friendly clients from all parts of Ireland.

Travel Department trip on the Danube in this month aboard the Amadeus Riva was the best vacation I have ever had and I have traveled a lot. The boat was amazing, comfortable with excellent service & an absolutely wonderful crew. We dined on five star quality meals, beautifully presented with a lovely variety of wines. Our Travel Department guide Seán Crean contributed in no small way to the success & enjoyment of the cruise. He is very experienced, knowledgeable & entertaining. He accompanied us, with a local guide on all shore excursions. We visited four countries including Germany, Austria, Slovenia & Hungary. We saw Passau, Salzburg, Vienna, Bratislava & Budapest plus a couple of smaller beautiful villages along the way. If you are considering a cruise on the Danube this is the one for you, without a doubt. Book it now! And the cabins are lovely, spacious & comfortable. 😎

A perfectly organized tour around Madeira with lots of interesting insights.

Excellent guide provided by the travel department made everything smooth and hassle free. The Amadeus Riva ship was a 5* experience with the best chef on board. Great entertainment every night. Local guides for each location.

The trip was very well organised as usual. Hotel and food was very good with the all inclusive , and our Guide was very good and informative.

Bróna, our guide made the gardening holiday into a fabulous experience. She was informative, kind and courteous at all times and available to assist whenever needed. All itinerary details were clearly explained each morning on the bus and places to eat clearly explained also. She’s one of the best! Thank you

As usual with travel department holidays this was excellent from start to finish. The hotel was off a very high standard and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. It was all inclusive and we had a choice of three different restaurants where the food in each was excellent! Our guide was called Dada and she had a great knowledge of the Country and her English was excellent! Our driver was very experienced and efficient!

Had wonderful trip to Nerja, staying in the Perla Marina. Our guide Claire went over and above to look after us all. Her enthusiasm and knowledge was unbelievable. Very nice small friendly group of fourteen people. Only one negative, returning to Dublin airport at 11 o clock at night, having to wait until 2 o clock to get first available bus.

Everything ran like clockwork. No delays from arrival at airport to departure.

It was a fabulous trip. It went smoothly from start to finish. It takes months of planning to make everything work so well. Well done Travel Department!
