Excellent. Very well organised

The tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave many useful local tips. He was always on time and was very good at explaining everything. He met us at the airport and we were in good hands from then on. The excursions were excellent. The hotel was very clean and the food was great. I thought the drinks were a little expensive. The other people on the trip were very nice and we all had a lot of fun. Definitely recommended and I will use the Travel department again

This was the first time we travelled with the Travel Department. We were in Northern Italy at NW Lake Garda. Firstly, booking was easy and took very little time. Communication about check in, safety tips all arrived in good time...all we had to do was to get on the plane. We were met by the travel guide who travelled with us all week and who had designed a great travel itinerary...busy days followed by less busy days, so well balanced. Our guide Annalise was superb, shared a great depth of knowledge across a range of areas every day and provided great advice and local tips re food, drinks, snacks and places to visit in our own time. She ensured that those with restricted mobility were not left behind. We visited so many beautiful places...Venice, Verona, Canale, S.Alps and Limone. Our transport was very comfortable, clean and spacious with great drivers on those twisty narrow roads. Our group comprised of 18 travellers who were all happy to chat, to dine with and spend time together when it suited. We stayed in Hotel Alexander in Limone sul Garda. Excellent food, accommodation, customer service and the staff were so customer focused. If I was to suggest an area to consider it would be that the use of Venice airport makes transfers very long. A nearer airport would be good in that regard. We will certainly be returning to Travel Department for future trips. Utterly hassle free, very good value and it has left us with memories of a great week in Northern Italy

Arranged a trip to egypt with the travel department, was amazing experience all thanks to Dodi the tour guide !! Full of knowledge, good laugh and joins in all the fun- the battle on UNO was great lol. Overall, well coordinated, focused on the big items, great options to do more etc.. fun packed adventure for anyone looking to visit egypt.

Nile River Cruise - Cairo and Hurghada. This Travel Department trip had an excellent itinerary, starting in Cairo and Giza, with the Nile cruise taking in all the Nile's major historical sites and finishing with a few relaxing days on the Red Sea at Hurghada. It was a very full and at times challenging itinerary but was always fascinating. The itinerary provided a great deal of variety and included not just trips to temples and tombs but also boat trips, a visit to a Nubian village and markets. What made this trip truly memorable was our outstanding guide Emad 'Dodi' Fathy 'Dodi' was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and witty. He was also highly efficient and ensured that all aspects of the trip ran smoothly. He was highly approachable and considerate and always took any additional needs of members of the group into consideration. I have not travelled with a more impressive guide. I can highly recommend this trip and the guide.

Thanks to Travel Department for putting together a great holiday experience in Egypt where we combined a delightful Nile Cruise with visiting the wonderful historic sights and a relaxing couple of days on a Red Sea resort. Our guide Emad Fathy (Dodi) looked after us very well. His perfect English and expert knowledge helped bring ancient Egypt to life for us as we visited the sites and monuments. We’d like to recommend this holiday, and this guide, to all.

What an absolutely amazing holiday. So many wonderful memories made. The travel department have put together a fantastic itinerary and our guide Dodi shared so much of his country's history with us. His knowledge was vast and very informative. A huge plus to the travel department team. A holiday of a lifetime. Would love to do it all over again but the world is a huge place with so many other places to visit. If Egypt is on your bucket list this holiday/itinerary won't disappoint.

Local guide was fantastic

Our trip to Lake Como was wonderful. The scenery was stunning, our guide, Carol was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for her. All in all, a relaxing week,lovely food in beautiful and friendly surroundings.

Recently returned from an amazing trip to Egypt where we made memories that will last our lifetime. From the mystical pyramids to the majestic Nile we had an adventure packed holiday with a busy itinerary to ensure we saw the most of this fascinating country. Everything was meticulously planned and our amazing guide Dodi ensured we lived every moment. His vast knowledge, humour and professionalism was the highlight. He truly is an invaluable asset to TD. This is truly a magical experience to witness this country from land and river before the tranquility of our Red Sea resort to grab a much needed rest. Recent trip to Montenegro was absolutely fab. Travel Dept, as usual, made sure everything from hotel, guide Dada & excursions were all perfect. Montenegro is beautiful & excursions gave a brilliant overview on what's there. I'll definitely be back.

Brilliant holiday. Guides were excellent. Julia was a fountain of knowledge and a lovely lady. Carol was also very knowledgeable and nice. Maximilliano was our coach driver, a very friendly man and excellent driver. All these people made the holiday “work “. Hotel and staff excellent. The only problem was Malpensa and Aer Lingus for our return flight. Only one person to check in a full flight. Big delays, eventually got second person. No time to eat before flight. No food on board only chocolate bars. Husband is diabetic and the entire check in process and lack of food was very stressful. Flight was also an hour late leaving Milan.

Everything was perfectly in place for all the activities on the holiday and all I needed to do was be there and enjoy.

Fabulous trip to Lake Garda. Martin was a super guide and I also met up with Annalise whom I'd met on my first ever solo TD trip, Lake Garda at Christmas. I have done several solo TD trips, I think this most recent has been my favourite. I turned 60 on trip and was thoroughly spoilt. great crowd, great hotel and staff, great guide. Thank you

My wife's recent trip to Rome and Assisi had paid for a trip to ancient Ostia and it was canceled the reason not enough people wanted to go, this wasn't stated when booked and the hotel in the town Fiuggi was an hour and a half away from Rome most of the trips were a long journey which meant dinner on a night was late and you had to wait for everyone to finish one course before you got the next one which meant it was about 10 o'clock before you finished and the meals were always chefs choice and you got too much it was 5 course dinner and always contained pasta, if it was like breakfast, buffet style less food would have been wasted. Alessandra the tour guide was very good and helpful even on her day off she took us to Rome.

An excellent holiday.

What made our travel experience so 'brilliant'?. The entire package was just so well organised like clockwork.Our guide Tuan was so well informed and always on the ball, very entertaining, available at all times throughout the entire 14 days and such an nice and caring person. In addition,the travel arrangements, choice of hotels,hotel food,the tour buses and drivers ,the internal flights all excellent and fantastic value for money. . What can I say !!!. We are already planning our next holiday with the Travel Department and we only returned to Ireland on the 6th April.
