From the minute we were picked up from home to the dropping off at Delhi Airport, everything was professionally handled by Titan, and special mention must go to Anuj (aka AJ) our tour guide, and our driver and co-driver who looked after all 31 tourists with care and consideration for all.
Delhi was a melting pot of humanity, with animals and locals living in each others presence amused by visitors looking in on them all, without a care in their world.
Agra, and its famous Taj Mahal, were an early highlight of the tour with thousands in attendance, so be prepared for a busy day.
Ranthambore was a more relaxing section of the tour but does involve very early morning starts, but when on our first visit to the National park we got to see the Bengal Tiger and the Sloth Bear, as well as many other birds and animals, the very early start was well worth it. Ranthambore centre was a vibrant chaotically colourful place with traffic jammed up giving visitors many photo opportunities on the way.
Jaipur was a different vibe altogether with forts and palaces to view, as well as the usual street hawkers in the bazaars when having a wander about, safe but be prepared to haggle and walk away, the next opportunity is only a few steps away.
Returning to Delhi is a long trip, but the first 2 days of the trip is a better use of time there rather than splitting up the time in Delhi with a day at the end of the tour.
Hotels were very suitable in all 3 locations with clean and comfortable accommodation as well as plenty of food choices at meal times, be that for the more adventurous eaters or those with a western based palate, the fresh naan and paratha breads are divine and always cooked to order.
AJ, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about everything involved with the tour itinerary and the various questions asked of him relating to India in general, he covered everything with great humour and had the entire tour group enthralled from the very start with his engaging personality. Titan you have a gem in AJ.
This is a full on tour with early starts and lengthy bus trips, the walking is brisk because there is so much to fit into each day, but if you can keep up the pace and not be distracted by the Indian way of life it’s certainly worth the visit to the Golden Triangle
