Don't give them your money!

Don't give them your money!! We booked an event in Leeds 23rd August and they cancelled the event due to the weather. We couldn't attend the other dates so opted for the refund. Our £150, which was a rip off anyway, hasn't arrived. I was told 7 days, 14 days and then 28 days. I have sent multiple emails, called many times, contacted their social media.with no luck of getting through. They have blocked me on Instagram! No one is replying. Such a terrible company taking money off others and not providing people with their refunds. Going to have to take some other route here as clearly they are doing it with others after reading reviews.

What a rip off

What a rip off We paid over £90 per person to be in the front row. They obviously overbooked and moved our party to the side with people who told us they paid £50!!!! We questioned why we were not in our selected seats and the guy couldn’t give us an answer and quite frankly didn’t care. It’s a joke, the people running it do everything from being the actors in the jury, serving behind the bar and putting tickets on cars that haven’t paid up front the extortionate car parking fees. We didn’t speak to one person who wasn’t a little disappointed in what they paid for. I hope that unlike us, people look on trust pilot and trip advisor and save their hard earned cash!!

Good performance ruined by terrible organisation

The show itself was good but was let down by terrible organisation. I paid for premium seats only to end up sitting in the less expensive seating area because the premium seating was full. The seats themselves were extremely uncomfortable and as the show went on the inflatable theatre became unbearably hot.The portable toilets were not monitored for cleanliness or restocked during the performance. The ticket price did not include parking. Fortunately I paid for my parking in advance as although the event was held in a field in the middle of nowhere many audience members received parking tickets. I really think the production company needs to rethink the use of the inflatable theatre for this show as I think it would have been a much better experience if it were held at an established venue . What could’ve been a good day out was ruined by being physically uncomfortable and I would consider overcharged given the facilities .

What a great experience

What a great experience, actors were great, afternoon tea was worth every penny, better than I have had in some pubs. Read many negative reviews, but now I have been myself, I must disagree with most of them. Venue was easy to find with the sat nav, ample parking, port-a- loos very close to the arena, if I had to find a negative, it would be to use round tables, as it got a little cramped around a small rectangle table, especially if many had the high tea trays. However this didn't spoil the experience, and secondly when booking you choose a table and seats, but when you get there this all goes out of the window, so seemed a little chaotic, a gain didn't spoil the experience for me. Would definitely recommend a trip to a murder trial live near to you !!!!!! Well done and thank you.

Ok but could be so much better

The experience was ok but could have been so much better. The loud music at the beginning was ridiculous as you couldn’t get to know your fellow jurors or hear each other reading the swearing in oath. This part of things could have been made much more fun. The acting was good and we enjoyed deliberating the verdict. Drink prices and parking costs were a rip off, hence 3 stars. They gave 25% off drinks half way through, why not just price them reasonably in beginning. Afternoon tea for an evening seems unsuitable and way too pricey and not good value for money. I think the concept is great but needs better organisation, better to have bums on seats and keep pricing reasonable than having to sell seats at half price.

Utter scam

Utter scam. They cancelled our show last minute back on 23rd August. Said we could attend other one but we weren’t able to do just asked for the refund instead. Our refund has been “processing” since then, the email comms are terrible and I was promised an update today which never arrived, which has left me with no option but to post this on here and other review platforms. Do not book these shows unless you’re happy to loose your money if THEY cancel the shows.

Misleading and unethical practice

As with many other reviews, my main issue related to the car parking but that really is the tip of the iceberg. At the time of booking there is no mention that parking is extra. You will then be bombarded with upselling emails including one coercing you to pay for parking for £15. The venue was a sports club who's parking is usually free, and the signage indicates a cheaper price than what you pay for in advance. The venue staff told me to take my issue up with the parking company, who as it turns out are just a trading name for the same company. Ifnyou visit the parking companys website, when you click the terms and conditions it just tkaes you back to the events page. So the money goes straight in to the pockets of the organisers with no way to complain. I realised this whilst still there and when trying to politely challenge was met with "I just work on the bar". Quick google search revealed I was actually speaking with the director and CEO of the company. They used bribery tactics for good reviews by offering a chance to win a bottle of champagne if you leave a review before the event is even finished. They also bribe the audience with a free bar tab if you grass someone else up for bringing their own snacks. The snacks and beverages that can be purchased are poor quality and extortionate prices. The production itself was unimaginative and ameteur. We could barely hear and there really wasn't much to deliberate for the jury due to the simplistic plot. Some of the actors were OK but mostly of a high school standard. The venue was not the same place as advertised on the tickets so a lot of people arrived late and grumpy. The marketting gives false security by referencing credible organisations that the company have very tenuous links to. The whole thing left me feeling like I had been conned. The portaloos were worse than the last day at a festival. Some people took one look (or smell) and were close to vomiting. Anyone you try to complain to plays dumb, and send you on a circular quest to raise your complaint that all leads straight back to them. Unsurprisingly a quick company search reveals several changes in company name and directors in short succession. This company see their customers as pound signs only, and if you dare to challenge you will be told lies and patronised.

Had a fantastic time

Had a fantastic time - the show was awesome! Only improvement would be for the judge to have a gavel to shout “order!” Made friends on our jury table with everyone and argued the verdict out like a real trial - such fun! Bar on site and food options but did not go for the High Tea as very pricey (£25.00) and did not look value for money. Should change to cheese board with crackers, and mini Prosecco then definitely would have bought.

The show needs improvement.

The show needs improvement. Voices of actors aren't clear and loud, and we had front seats. Made more difficult by bar noise, selling drinks and snacks throughout. Why not stop sales until breaks? You need a little more detail of evidence. Tables are told to discuss the case, which we saw some doing and turning chairs to face one another. Our table didn't. The person "in charge" just handed the paper round to state the verdict, all signed in first 5 minutes. Four of our table never spoke to anyone else at all, despite trying to converse! It was very cold in first half, cold air blasting down on you. Thank God I took a spare warmer jacket than one I had on. Second half, everyone was roasting. Seats very uncomfortable and trying to cram as many in as possible. You're almost sat on other's leg next to you. You don't get free parking, yet a carpark at site, which is unmanned and free, but charged £15 for it! Toilets- need more of and lighting inside would help! Paid for top seats, but all the view was back of barristers! Another extra, was the programme £8 . This had all toxicology reports etc- that information should have been part of the ticket price. Drinks at bar very inflated- should have been a case for daylight robbery! A night of something different, but needs improving.

5* experience - just ignore the parking!

Cheltenham We loved it. Fantastic acting, inc from an ex barrister. V realistic based on professional experiences of crown court. Weirdly started at 650pm but assume everyone with tickets were in. Finished at just after 10pm. Staff all lovely and bar prices just like a cinema. You are a captive audience after all. Drinks and popcorn were great. Toilets were fine - 4 x clean large portaloos. We took cushions so seating was fine. We sat parallel to the dock and had fantastic view throughout. You just have to enter in the spirit of it all. Good debate across our table about ‘whodunnit’. We had a fab night and everyone else seemed to too. Highly recommended for that authentic jury service experience with a fun spin on it. Didn’t bother with the pre parking. That really is a rip off brought about by incessant marketing emails. We just parked on site for free. It wasn’t manned at all. The blatant money grab with parking is the only reason this experience is 4*. Otherwise enjoy - highly recommended

Parking was a rip off

Overall The trial was good and engaging and enjoyable, Parking Upon arrival we were expecting parking attendants to check we had paid for parking but there was no one therefore a waste of £15 RIP OFF! Toilets Absolutely unacceptable and against health standards, toilets in the complete dark! How unsafe Food and drinks So overpriced, £4.95 for a bottle of water, a round of drinks 3 cokes 1 cider and glass of wine and crisps £44 😡 how ridiculous

Unorganised rubbish

To be honest this whole thing ended up feeling more and more rubbish and we got closer to it with things changing left right and center. First that lost the street food vendors (but having seen the reviews and pictures of the food I’m glad we didn’t have that) and exchanged for afternoon tea at £25 a head. I waited for reviews on that one before booking and safe to say didn’t book it and was quite glad upon seeing them as they looked rubbish for the price ! We bought tickets at a time where you paid and booked your exact seats so u could see exactly where you wanted to sit and paid for that privilege. Close to the visit they changed this and people could then pay for “lightning passes” to turn up early and choose where they wanted to sit… I messaged and questioned this as was concerned this now meant I wudnt get my seats, this was ignored (same as it seems they do with all issues) and a few days before I received a check in call making sure I had my tickets, paid for parking which I had (despite the fact this angered me as this was actually on a free car park at the sports club and nobody was there checking anything with the parking!!!!!), and checking if we now wanted to add afternoon tea. So while I had her on the phone I asked about this seating change and was assured we would still get our seats we booked. Great I thought. No… Get there and are shown to our seats by a helpful man, firstly the table B that we booked wasn’t even in the same position as what was picked online, and low and behold people in our seats. When asked to move they refused as people were in thier seats and then have then been placed there by another member of staff… we despite our protests we write then moved to other seats, and it seemed they didn’t have a clue then which were free and which were not. Absolute rubbish!!!! The food and drink were overpriced but it was to be expected and that was fine… however the screen was causing nachos and dip £8 and the bar was selling them at £9.50 hmmm??? The actors I didn’t feel kept in role and you would find them smirking a lot and it didn’t feel serious, so I struggled to keep focused. 3 microphones died during performance. Someone at the end came on to say that it was some of thier first nights and that was the excuse for this however I have noticed on another post this was an excuse before… so not too sure I believe that now. Tables too small, chairs uncomfortable (which I had been warned about so brought a cushion). Too cold Toilets disgusting and not monitored, plus as it’s dark and no light now they also were pitch black as no lighting??? Not particularly safe. To top it all off we were sent an email a week before to get the verdict??? I thankfully hadn’t read this but why send that before you have watched the show!!!? The overall experience for the money for me was not good so for that I am unlikely to return to another of the shows.

Two stars 2 stars for potential

Two stars for potential! I really really wanted this to be good. The first thing that annoyed us was that after you book tickets you get an email telling you to pay an extra £10 for parking even though parking at the venue is normally free. The event is held in a tent and they told us to be there at 6, the show didn’t start until 7:30 so we were sitting in a cold tent for far too long, I assume this is so they can sell more drinks. The plot its self was weak and not as finely balanced as I’d hoped the twin brothers element feeling far too hollyoaks. What was interesting was the number of people who left after the show and before the verdict. I think this great idea has been spoiled by them being to money grabbing.

Total waste of money

Total waste of money! There are a host of things that made the Cheltenham murder trial live a poor night, but the main one is just that the case itself was so utterly lame (identical twins, really?), poorly written, poorly performed, and totally unconvincing. It rapidly became a farce, acted for laughs - nothing like what was advertised. It was expertly marketed, but poorly organised, overpriced, uncomfortable and cold.

Scam artists

Scam artists. Arrived to a show in Leeds which had been cancelled due to high winds - fair enough I had missed the email though unfortunate i’d travelled from a different town. We could either transfer our ticket to the following day for the next event or one in york. Neither were suitable date wise so we were told to ring up the box office for a refund. I gave rang the box office 14 times. No one ever answers and then there is a siren sound and the call disconnects. I have also emailed their company with no reply. Clearly don’t want to lose money with refunds and re ignoring me. Will never buy tickets again and will make sure to comment on their social media indefinitely about my experience.
