Misleading and unethical practice

As with many other reviews, my main issue related to the car parking but that really is the tip of the iceberg. At the time of booking there is no mention that parking is extra. You will then be bombarded with upselling emails including one coercing you to pay for parking for £15. The venue was a sports club who's parking is usually free, and the signage indicates a cheaper price than what you pay for in advance. The venue staff told me to take my issue up with the parking company, who as it turns out are just a trading name for the same company. Ifnyou visit the parking companys website, when you click the terms and conditions it just tkaes you back to the events page. So the money goes straight in to the pockets of the organisers with no way to complain. I realised this whilst still there and when trying to politely challenge was met with "I just work on the bar". Quick google search revealed I was actually speaking with the director and CEO of the company. They used bribery tactics for good reviews by offering a chance to win a bottle of champagne if you leave a review before the event is even finished. They also bribe the audience with a free bar tab if you grass someone else up for bringing their own snacks. The snacks and beverages that can be purchased are poor quality and extortionate prices. The production itself was unimaginative and ameteur. We could barely hear and there really wasn't much to deliberate for the jury due to the simplistic plot. Some of the actors were OK but mostly of a high school standard. The venue was not the same place as advertised on the tickets so a lot of people arrived late and grumpy. The marketting gives false security by referencing credible organisations that the company have very tenuous links to. The whole thing left me feeling like I had been conned. The portaloos were worse than the last day at a festival. Some people took one look (or smell) and were close to vomiting. Anyone you try to complain to plays dumb, and send you on a circular quest to raise your complaint that all leads straight back to them. Unsurprisingly a quick company search reveals several changes in company name and directors in short succession. This company see their customers as pound signs only, and if you dare to challenge you will be told lies and patronised.
