It basically works, which was a surprise. I got my test early using the auto-book option—but there’s one big but. The system booked the test only two hours before it was scheduled to take place. It was pure luck that I happened to be near my PC and saw the email right away. I had just enough time to get to the test center, and luckily a car was available too. Everything aligned, and I managed to pass the test—but again, it was pure luck. A two-hour notice is not what you’d typically expect.
A SCAM -- CONTACT YOUR BANK as you are never getting anywhere with them
Firstly, the fact that they say no hidden fees is misleading. I keep on getting notifications of "available" test slots when I try to access them (literally seconds after the email lands), they are magically unavailable. But you can add then priority and super priority if you want, which means paying them more than GBP 150 for a test.
Secondly, they are not responsive and if you wait for their response on their timelines, they come back asking for more account information - that they should know as you are sending them an email...! - which means that you will have to wait for another 5 working days for a response.
Lastly, as part of their terms is that you need to confirm with your driving instructor that they can also attend, which realistically is not feasible as the test slots disappear immediately (or they were not available at the first instance).
All in all, this seems like a scam so I am contacting my bank for recovering payment and flagging the service as fraudulent.
DO NOT USE
This system only offers last minute tests that are often gone even if I click the link immediately when I receive the email. I needed to use my instructors car for the test so it was 5 months before I could have 5 mins to check with the instructor (who responded immediately) and even press the “Accept” button. Then I was told that the test was cancelled anyway.
I also paid for the upgrade package thinking that would help and after about a month was reverted back to the original basic package.
Customer assistance is non existent. I can’t emphasize how much you should NOT give this company your money.
I’ve purchased autobook plus 3 months ago and today they’ve booked a test 3h before the test and I had no option to change and to use the 2nd change as the “click here” wasn’t work. So I had to cancel and book a new one with loosing everything. Really disappointed…
This is the second time we have used test ultimate after failing the first test🙈 they found us. We wanted Tolworth in London and no where else. There was a pause in tests appearing for a month but that was ok as A levels were happening . Then tests started coming fast and furious. The problem was no time to get the booking so missed a lot .A lot did vanish quickly . I did the second level service so had to agree with the date and time before it was booked. Top tip have your booking test ref and driving license with you ready to go immediately at all times and put a ring tone on their emails so u know immediately when the test is offered. A test came up last week we were fast to log in and accept and passed today. Logged on with 20 seconds of getting the message. Test ultimate biggest thank you. The first time we used the service we had a test in a week this time has taken longer but the best dvla gave us was October so this is amazing. We have friends also who have used it and again just get organised with your phone so u can log on super fast and get booked.
Amazing service really happy I purchased their service after I booked my test because I didn't get where I want, then I was keep on searching in my local but I didn't get to change yesterday I received a test booking confirmation saying I booked in my local area I was surprised then I check my email again I seen the email from test Ultimate too I'm really happy with the service I got,and also some time ago I had a problem my previous booking got cancelled and when I contacted then they asked me to give the new reference after I booked another test, and I did the same. From my experience I didn't had any communication issues with them and also I would like to tell everyone it takes time because nowadays its really hard to book anywhere in uk I think it helps
I’ve used TestUltimate before, and this is my second time using it after failing my first test — but this time the experience has been awful and honestly feels like a waste of money.
I upgraded my package specifically to receive SMS notifications, as I often miss emails. But after upgrading, I couldn't find any option on the website to enable SMS alerts. I’ve contacted support several times about this and haven’t had any response.
The reason I upgraded in the first place was because I missed an email about a test that I actually could have taken — but by the time I saw it, it was too late. Later, I rejected a test I couldn’t attend, and then my account was suddenly paused? I never asked for my search to be paused, and again, I’ve tried contacting support to fix this with no reply.
I’m extremely stressed. I’m going on annual leave from 5th–19th July, and I was really hoping to have my test booked before then. For the price of this service, the lack of communication and support is unacceptable. I check my account every day, and it’s still paused — with no updates at all.
At this point, I feel completely ignored. If I don’t hear back very soon, I will escalate this through small claims court and file a complaint with the relevant authorities. Your company is registered on the UK government’s website, and I will be taking legal advice — my father is a lawyer, and I’m prepared to take this further if this isn’t resolved.
Please respond and resume my search as a matter of urgency.
My account is currently paused, no one answers the phone. Takes longer than 24hrs to respond to emails, still no reply. Paid for a service that I can’t make use of and I’ve even upgraded and my account still remains on pause. What is going on here? I saw you respond to a customer who also left a negative view here, you managed to reply within 6 hours but you don’t reply or contact customers by email or call them back no even during the day or within 24hrs! It’s only giving me reason to also leave a negative review for an app I’ve paid and upgraded for
Signed up and paid. Saved password on my phone but then it wouldn't let me in. Requested password reset nothing happened. Sent several emails to Test Ultimate - they ignored them all. Then receive notification email of a test on a date that would have worked but I can't accept it because I can't login, because Test Ultimate have terrible customer service. Later received another email saying they were no longer searching for tests for me because I had not accepted the last one. Further emails sent telling them what's happened and requesting password reset. All ignored again.
I don't think this is a scam, I just think it's a hopelessly incompetent company that employs hopelessly incompetent staff. Definitely one to avoid.
EDIT - I see the reply says that they have seen no emails from my email address however on the day after I posted this review I actually got a reply - albeit unhelpful. I have now rectified the issue with logging in, however over a week since requesting Test Ultimate unpause the search for a test, it is still showing as being paused.
Do you seriously believe that I haven't got in touch or do you think it might be Test Ultimate again demonstrating their incompetence? I think a quick glance at the other reviews over the last year probably helps in getting to your answer.
They are just using your license details. Test was already booked and I was looking for early date. They took booked test sold it to someone and did not gave me early date.
