Someone went into the back of my van and it was written off. Despite it being a non fault claim I didn't receive a courtesy vehicle leaving me unable to work and i'm self employed. Took over 3 weeks to get the payment, Despite submitting the images immediately. Spent 15-20 hours on the phone - took them a full week to collect the vehicle, desite them stating it would be collected within 48 hours. I had to contact god knows how many different companies. The process and the stress it caused me was absolutely appalling. Raised a complaint with them and for some reason 3 weeks on I still hasn't been dealt with!

This was a learning experience as it was the first time doing everything by email. I still have a little trepidation as I await the DVLA response.
No need to check lots of different companies it is done for you. So then you do not get inundated with emails, phone calls from companies. Very easy to use.
The site was easier to follow than most other sites.

Although Swindon was competitive for learner driver insurance. Their cancellation policy is a scam. When insuring learners there should be a reasonable expectation that the policy may be cancelled as many customers will pass their test. I would expect a decent company would have reasonable and fair refund policy for learner drivers, but Swindon are fleecing learner drivers. I recently passed my test and had to cancel my annual policy after 6 months. I paid £607 for the year and only recieved £29 of a refund. They will of course reply to this review stating that their cancellation terms are stated in the insurers pack and that they have been transparent. So let me deal with that. Swindon are robbing insured learner drivers, but because they have put a robbery clause in their terms and conditions, they think this is OK. This is a scam, maybe not illegal, but a scam nonetheless.

Apparently I am on a database somewhere as having an accident, something I know nothing t all about & neither do I know of the existence of the database I am on. Because I was unaware of the existence of this database when I applied for insurance I didn't mention I was on it, so Swinton said I had to change my application to include it & they would more than double my quote for doing that
I got the name from the comparison website The company with whom I had insurance said this year's quote was lower than previous year and that they were sending me the renewal docs. Meanwhile, Swinton had given me a quote lower than the company that promised me a much lower fee this year. Basically, that clinched the deal in favour of Swinton
Was able to confirm the application done on line by phone. The service given was good and it made the process better as was able to request my preferences with a member of staff. Sometimes it feels better that way.
