Easy renewal lower price than last year
Very efficient, friendly service from Maria. Sterling were the cheapest reputable insurer available but also offer fabulous fast service and an efficient team.

It's all about the customer service, folks! Let's face it, no one looks forward to navigating the car insurance maze, me included, and their premiums are about what I expect across the board, when comparison shopping. However… The customer service team at Sterling sets them apart. It’s a given that most customer service staff are welcoming and helpful when you're considering coverage, but Sterling is responsive, knowledgeable and helpful when you really need them. Whether making a claim, reporting an incident or, most recently, managing the process of updating my coverage for renewal, the customer representatives are always friendly, helpful and patient. Lesley, in particular, went above and beyond when I had questions about certain types of coverage - even pointing out where the coverage I was considering might be unnecessary in our case, or might overlap with other types of cover I already have in place. With finances a bit tight, I appreciated her going above and beyond to help identify what cover would best suit our situation and our budget. Thanks again, Lesley! I am pleased with the actual cover, as well, having had one non-fault incident quickly taken care of. It's just nice to see some helpful, old-fashioned customer service, too.
The agent was outstanding in finding me the best deal possible for a difficult classic car policy. He got an excellent deal that was £700 less than one quote. He took the time and made the process feel very personal....a somewhat unique approach to real customer service compared to others! Thank-you. Highly recommended,

First time purchasing an Insurance Policy with Sterling & I was most impressed with the two staff members I spoke to. Initially the gentleman that ran through everything with me, even adding ‘Lost keys’ to the Policy & then the lady today who assisted me with uploading our DVLA & NCD info. Both very polite, informed, most helpful & pleasant with it! Company is competitive & recommended!

Terrible company. Took a policy out as my daughter's first insurance company. She is a sensible driver and has a black box fitted, yet they constantly send us messages saying they are going to cancel the insurance unless we log into the account. When we try to login to the account we get locked out. When we try to phone there is always a ridiculously long wait. Tried to phone today as they said the insurance was being cancelled (but would not give any reason) - and told there is at least a 45 minute wait, and they won't call back! I will never deal with this company again, and certainly not given a young driver a good impression of insurance companies.
