Okay product, too business-focused for me

Tried Smith for 2 months. The concept is great — one platform for everything. In practice, I found that the 'jack of all trades' approach meant some individual features weren't quite as polished as dedicated tools. The email editor is good but not great. The phone system works but the call quality wasn't amazing on my end. It's fine, just not exceptional in any single area for my use case.

Not bad, just not what I expected

I signed up because everyone was raving about Smith, but honestly I think this is more for agencies and bigger businesses. I'm a freelance photographer and most of the features — CRM pipelines, AI chatbots, phone system — are just not relevant to my work. The email marketing is nice but I was paying for a lot of stuff I didn't need. It's clearly a good product, just not for me.

Hands down the best CRM I've ever used

Switched from GoHighLevel and the difference is night and day. Smith's interface is cleaner, the AI features are leagues ahead, and the support team actually responds within minutes, not days. My only regret is not switching sooner. This is what a modern business platform should look like.

Too many features I don't understand

My friend who runs a marketing agency swears by Smith. I tried it for my small Etsy shop and honestly, it's way more than I need. The interface is nice and it seems well-built, but I don't need a phone system or complex automations. I just wanted simple email marketing. Probably amazing for the right user — I'm just not that user.

The phone system is criminally underrated. Crystal clear calls, automatic recording, AI transcription, and it ties directly into the CRM so every call is logged with context. Average experience — I'm not the target audience

Signed up for Smith because I heard the AI was incredible. And it is — in the demos. In practice, setting up the chatbot for my niche (vintage furniture) was harder than expected. The templates are geared toward service businesses and agencies. Had to customize a lot. Support was helpful when I reached out, but it took some back and forth.

It's alright but I barely use half the features

Gave it a fair shot for 3 months. The platform is clearly powerful and well-built. The AI is impressive from a technology standpoint. But I realized I was spending more time configuring and optimizing Smith than actually running my tutoring business. Went back to a simple Google Sheets + Calendly setup. Sometimes simple is better.

Very capable platform with a bright future

Great value proposition. We replaced HubSpot, Twilio, and ActiveCampaign with Smith at a fraction of the combined cost. Feature parity is about 90% there, which is impressive. The AI capabilities more than make up for the small gaps. Definitely recommend for small to mid-size businesses.

Great for agencies, onboarding could be smoother

Smith does a great job consolidating multiple tools into one platform. We canceled Mailchimp, Calendly, and our old CRM. The AI features are impressive and the automations save us real time. Docking one star because the mobile app could use some polish — it's functional but not as smooth as the desktop experience. Still, highly recommend.
