CORK city branch

This is one of the best dentists. I've been to many leaving and terrified to go back but I've returned to Smiles. All their dentists are amazing, they do go above and beyond, they keep their skills updated to provide an amazing service. They are calm and do not judge, they won't poke and prod unnecessarily. They will make you trust dentists again, it's like they want you to love your teeth and to smile with confidence. Great with kids too. Also if you tell them you are in pain, they actually look for the cause even if not clear which is essential when dealing with kids who can only explain they have pain in mouth near tooth.

More like Frowns

My dentist was rude and unprofessional-- brought me into get x-rayed without telling me that was another service, or even what was happening. Made rude comments to the hygenist about my teeth and did not offer a treatment plan/breakdown of what treatments i needed. Will be going to a local dentist from now on EDIT: Emailed to get my X-rays, and they ignored it. Called twice and didn't pick up. When I called a third time they finally sent them, but only half. After a follow up they sent the correct ones. Daylight robbery, honestly.

I would advise against engaging with…

I would advise against engaging with this company as they have consistently failed to fulfill their promises and provide satisfactory service. Despite numerous attempts to contact them for a promised £150 refund for a missed appointment, they have not responded or provided the refund after four months of communication. Their lack of professionalism and reliability make them an unreliable choice for any services.

Ilford branch

Ilford branch Extremely disappointing experiences. Bhumika as the hygienist as well as the dentist there - more of an eloquent sales representative rather anyone who truly cares about someone’s dental health. If you appear to have lots of money to spend, you might be treated differently. The problems that were caused by her treatments which were non-existent before are still bothering me and I still cannot chew on the treated side of my mouth to this day. All of her niceness and attentiveness vanished once she was informed of the issues caused by her incapable hands. Extremely rude and callous. I will not go back to that clinic again. I will pay someone who is fit for being called a professional dentist with knowledge, care and professional skills.

I had a consultation in September for a cleaning and also to get an estimate for implants, The staff were pleasant to deal with and dentist efficient, I was covered for free dental care , however I chose to go private, I decided against implants as the price quoted was very expensive, overall the experience was professional and the building inside and out was magnificent. I also got a quote for braces for my daughter in another smiles clinic, however their prices were very expensive also I decided to go with White Smile in Cabra after a competitive price quote, Erika the dentist was friendly professional and efficient at what she does, I had to cancel a couple of appointments and the receptionist was able to reschedule my appointments 1 to 2 times, my daughter was delighted with her straight teeth after 18 months of having a brace on, got fitted with a retainer which my daughter took out on same day, also got teeth whitened for another family member which was efficient and professional, however their was one staff member who didn’t seem to like his job Jason found him to be unprofessional my daughter also found her teeth to be very sore when he done them 1/2 times and wasn’t helpful when I requested paper work for the revenue office. My overall experience with white smile dental was valuable in price and Erika was a amazing to deal with. I am leaving this review for white smile dental here as that is where I followed my appointment for efficient pricing however you cannot leave a review on trust poilot any longer your redirected to their website.

I had a consultation back in 2021 which didn’t go very well as they were so rude and so unprofessional, they left me sitting in a dental chair for over 20mins before the dentist came in,and the receptionist is so rude, most recently they kept sending me texts to remind me that I owe them a consultation fee so I rang them and told them of my experience and explained thd girl at reception waved the fee because I wasn’t happy with my experience but she didn’t seem to remember and then threatened me with a debt collector Customer service is definitely something this place lacks It’s safe to say I won’t returning again

Ripped off and taken advantage of a poor patient

originally I had been waiting a very long time to find a NHS dentist that was taking on patients as this is a very rare thing i was waiting a very long time. So when my friend sent me a message to tell me there was now a local dentist taking on NHS patients in my area I was very happy. So I rang the dentist I wad told to sign up to them and get a appointment. In the process of doing so I made it very clear to them that I was on benefits and very little money so I would would have to pay via the NHS. After I told them this they told me that at this current moment the was not providing any service e through NHS and they were only making private appointments that required a up front payment t otherwise they would not see me. I don't no what the law is but it doesn't seem right to me morally at least that they can take money out my account, 2 appointment I was given I could not attend due to covid. I rang to let them know 1 day before my appointment to be told I've been taken off there books . Am fuming taken money and told am no longer a patient pls message where I stand feel robbed

Wexford Smiles is excellent

I couldn’t fault the Wexford practice. The girls on reception are fantastic and will always try to fit you in as soon as possible. Highly recommend the dentist that I deal with, Dr Morgan O’Sullivan. Always explains everything to you and his work is excellent.

Awful admin team

Over all, the customer experience received from the business operation team (Swords) were very poor. Customer are handled rather than helped. This is a business that does not embrace and welcomes diversity and inclusion too. I recommend people who are not willing to restricted by a typical conservative Irish culture, do not choose this Clinic. You can only do what you are told. The way they handle customers were similar to Ireland 25 years ago where other culture way of being were not very well treated. It’s an interesting way of managing a business after all. I received a call from the receptionist a few months later after I booked my appointment. The administrator demanding me to pay for a deposit which normally was charged at the point of making appointment. I asked to check my bank records first in case I was overcharged. She didn’t care and wasn’t interested in what I had said at all, and would not let me say a more words. When I insisted finishing what I had to say, she started to accuse me for shouting.l made her aware that she needed to watch out for her poor telephone manners. She handed up on me. I called back and requested to spoke to her manager, not only her manager was not available, she handled up on me straight away. I called again, asked her why I am not allowing to talk, that was it a monologue, she handed up on me again. Then she don’t pick up the call again. I am not sure this is a scam call or this Clinc just have a very poor skilled staff. It’s a very unpleasant and upsetting experience that I had with this Clinc. I am consider to move dentist after this. Then the manager called me, she was good at listening to me but she said that the way customers speak to receptionists has to comply to her business rules, which is mainly based on Irish culture. When customers is mistreated, if they sound tiny bit frustrated, they will be “ marked” as shouting. And this behaviour is not acceptable to them. So I was in the wrong when I was shocked by the bad telephone manners, and in order to make myself heard, I have to comply to their rules and behave like a good Irish person, than I am deserving to be heard. If I don’t sound like a happy customer, then what ever I said, I was shouting. I ask her to cancel the appointment and I will never attend the service again. As the receptionist behaves as a bully, now I understand that’s because the manager endorses the behaviour. I raised my concerns that there seemed no room for diversity and inclusion of other cultures, she started to handle me again restating their policies and I didn’t fit into the way their good customer should behave. I emphasised the policy means the Irish way or no way. Nonetheless people speaking a second languages and coming from a different culture background, but it not her concern. I was wrong because I didn’t react the way she thinks I should. I was demanded to do what I was told and had no right to check my bank balance first before I make another payment. They looked after their profit while customer just had to hope for the best that they are honest. I recommend that anyone who dislike being disrespected and mistreated , this is not a good clinic for you to start letting them look after your dental health. Otherwise there will be no more smile dental experience for you.

Auful admin team

The clinic in Galway was dreadful to deal with over the phone when making an apointment. Although they made mistakes they would blame the customer and then bar them from using the clinic. Signs isvon the place it's now closed. I also found those who dealing with complaints in the UK office to be abrupt to deal with. The worst dental service company I have ever dealth with.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Booked in to get a molar extraction. After 30 or 40 minutes of agonising pulling, another X-ray was taken and then the dentist realised the tooth was lodged.then I was told it would be two weeks befire I get a referral to a surgeon. I’ve been in chronic pain for a week now because of the tooth (which wasn’t painful before the attempted extraction) and now I suspect there’s an infection because it’s more painful than ever. Seriously disappointed in the care I received. I’d give no stars if it was an option.

Emergency Dental Care

My son had a tooth dislodged during a rugby match on a Saturday , impossible to get a dentist in Cork over the weekend. Smiles in Cork Dr Ropac agreed to see him, Dr Ropac re-inserted the tooth and provided a temporary brace. We are hopefully the tooth can be saved but this would not have been the case had we had to wait until Monday. Thank you Dr Ropac for you care and attention and your ongoing treatment for my son we are very gateful.
