They do not care for there customers and will force you to cancel your insurance and be harsh with how you are driving on your box policy it is outrageous and chris inwood is the most rude unwelcoming person at this company and needs to be fired for the way he handles his customers!
Sky quoted a great price on modified insurance for my Audi TT, the staff on the phone are also really friendly and helpful!

BE WARNED. For some reason my renewal documents were sent to me under a different email alias. Because of this I missed them and didn't see the terms of business; if you cancel early they'll reclaim their commission from you. I had paid 1/3 of my policy so far and owed THEM money when I cancelled after just over 1 month. They also charge a £50 admin fee for this. Think carefully about using Sky Insurance if there's a chance you'll cancel your policy early. Edit: Interesting to see Sky Insurance lie further down in their replies here. "We would like to stress that our cancellation charges are commensurate with other insurance providers." This is simply UNTRUE. esure for example charge a flat £35 cancellation fee and will refund any amount owed on a pro-rata basis. Plus other insurers do not claim their commission back from YOU if you cancel.
Would never use! When leaving they messed up the NCD I had accumulated on my policy and subsequently due to their error I was charged £50 in admin fees with my new insurer due to submitting incorrect NCD initially. I would avoid completely, they lure you with cheap 1st costs then hike the price despite no accidents/penalties or change in policy then you struggle to get your NCD from them.

I would 100% avoid this company! I took out insurance in October and paid £450 upfront. My first payment of £200 was taken in December.. which is fine. I was then contacted about my car being away from my home address more than 2 days a week. But when I took out the policy nobody told me I had to stay at home so many days a week. I called and queried this and I was told ‘if you’re staying away from home more than 2 days you need to call and tell us’ this made me feel like I was constantly watched and like I needed to ask ‘permission’ from my parents to stay away from home. As a first time driver, all of this should have been explained. It was very confusing and the agents I spoke to were very unhelpful, rude and judgemental. You constantly receive threatening emails advising ‘if you don’t send this we will cancel your policy, if you don’t do that we will cancel your policy’ I was unable to add the second address to my policy as it was too much of a ‘high risk’ area which is bull****. So I had no choice but to cancel! Expecting some sort of refund seen as I had paid £650 over a month and a half. But instead I have to pay £160 to cancel?!!! I sent in my cancellation via email and had no response. I then contacted a day after to find out they had not received my email so I had to send it again!! If you want to be constantly watched and tracked then go with this company. But if you want to feel like a normal human, with nobody to answer to, and you want to feel freedom while driving then AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY!! Absolute nightmare!!
Luke was very helpful with insuring my two modified cars. Very helpful and communicative and felt like I was talking to a like minded car guy. He offered advice on my policy and was very patient. If Luke is any indication as to my experience with Sky this year it should be a good one.
The price for cover on my modified vehicle was good, but on having to cancel the policy they will charge massive fees. My £560 policy was cancelled after 4 months and I only received £210 back - and they wont re-imburse it for 4-6 weeks! Only use if you are sure you wont have to cancel. I will use the usual providers in future.
An amazing service and the individual that dealt with me from initial quote, adjusting the policy and clearing an issue up for me was amazing. Luke went the extra mile to make sure I wasn't stressed as we encountered a problem that he resolved. He always treated with respect regardless of the amount of phone calls we had.
Insurance brokerage done right. Having worked in insurance for other competitor brokers for a number of years, I'm aware of the pitfalls and benefits of insuring via a broker - well what can I say all the pitfalls don't apply with Sky Insurance, from quote to cover in under 24 hours with a policy that suits my needs for my modified vehicle at a cracking price. Huge thank you to Luke for his perseverance in getting the best quote for me with a great insurer - the price is right great but the customer service made this a great experience. Thanks.
A huge thumbs up to the team at Sky Insurance. Friendly, fast, knowledgeable customer service - every time I’ve called. They’ve always been the most reasonably priced too, it’s very much worth shopping around and giving Sky Insurance a call, I usually speak to Luke, who has a lot of knowledge and is great about coming back to me quickly with a great quote to get my vehicles insured and covered to my needs. The team are great with modifications, changing any details like private number plate transfers, changes to your home address, explaining no claims bonus status, swapping insurance car to car over, anything and everything doesn’t ever seem hard work, they’re always happy to help and ensure I’m covered quickly. Can’t recommend enough, I’ve recommended to all my family and friends who also are very happy with their lower premiums and great customer service. Thanks again to all at Sky, for keeping the same high standards throughout a pandemic and even with team working from home, thank you. My car Insurance’s haven’t been something I’ve had to worry about this year of 2020!
I had insurance on my Bmw 730d se Automatics with sky this year up until June when it was written off. I purchased a jaguar xfr but found it expensive to run. So I sold it and brought a jaguar xj 2.7 diesel. And sky refused to insure it saying they don't insure Diesel automatic cars any more. So had to cancel they charged me nearly £200 only been insured two months lost nearly £400. Disappointed.
Always a pleasure to talk to Luke at sky insurance on the phone, no pressure sales environment, they do their best to get you a competitive quote and let you know what it is, after that its up to you to decide! Happy for you to get other quotes as well before deciding, although often they have the best-priced quote anyway and combined with not being pushy overall makes for a great experience.
Have always used Sky since I got my previous car as they had the best price and the service has always been spot on (shout out to Luke!) can't complain again this year with another great price and quick and painless setting up!

Insurance up for renewal with Sky. Great price, way cheaper than the competition but most importantly it was nice to deal with an insurance company that actually know what they're talking about. Spoke to a really nice fella called Luke....couldn't have asked for better customer service. Genuinely nice bloke. I've been a customer of Sky for a few years now and I will most likely continue to be for many more!
My partner (45F yrld no convictions)had a terrible experience from Sky Insurance. She tried to get insurance for a 4lt v6 #210HP!!!!! mustang, A standard golf GTi has more# they took all her details then asked what she drove at the moment. She told them a ford focus. they then went on to ask her what cars she's previously owned. told them, then they asked if she'd ever been insured on a "high performance car" before. Answered yes on company insurance, given the fact she managed the largest hypercar hire company in the uk, she explained she'd driven many higher performance cars than a mustang. He then called her back and said because she drove a focus they couldn't insure her!!!! They wanted proof of her having insurance for a similar vehicle, told them it was company vehicles so they refused me insurance. Has anyone else been asked for proof of what theyve driven previously. feel totally discriminated against as a female driver!! Given that you can get a vw golf with more horse power than a V6 Mustang what is their problem. she has no offences, tickets outstanding, over 25yrs driving with no disqualifications, points, tickets etc.. Whats everyones thoughts???
