Fantastic insurance company have used them for a few years on multiple vehicles. Have always given the best prices on the market and always a pleasure to deal with.

terrible customer service, rude and condescending operator who hung up after 2 minutes of picking up the phone having been in a queue for 20 minutes.

Very misleading. I knew nothing about cars and mileage, I was advised on 3,000 miles was “more than enough” I have spent almost 2 grand on this insurance company, when you run out of miles it’s £240 for just 1,000 miles or £480 for 2000 miles. If you go over the miles your insurance is cancelled within 7 days so you have no choice but to pay for more miles otherwise you have no insurance and lose out on any no claims discount. I kept buying miles but as a young new driver it cost me a fortune. The customer service was good however there was no option but to either buy miles or get the policy cancelled, no advice given or agreement apart from split payments for added miles. I received a lot of emails saying that if I go over my milage my policy will be cancelled, I’d get an email every couple of weeks saying this. I’d get a letter sent to my address of a cancellation as soon as I ran out of miles. Instead of a reminder it seemed like more of a push to make you buy more.

This Company is a complete rip off for young drivers, the scoring is a joke on the black box and are penalised for anything, go over your predicted mileage and charged £260 for another 1000, why should you have to pay more to drive ????? £1500 was paid to cover for the year. DO NOT USE this company they cancel the insurance if you go over your mileage and do not refund .

Would strongly advise any young drivers who have just passed their test to purchase car insurance from anyone other than Sky Insurance. They appear as a cheap insurance with a black box however there are lots of hidden costs. When opted to enter your predicted miles at the start of your insurance period, this is expected to be followed exactly and any miles driven above this must be purchased at what was over £200 for 1000 miles on my policy. This depends on your driver score which can be drastically reduced for any minor speeding but continuous good driving is not rewarded and the score doesn’t seem to return back to a good level. Overall a very poor company and I won’t be renewing my policy

My daughter used this firm for her car insurance on a provisional license. What was not made clear as the details were given over the internet was that she would not be insured if her 76 year old grandfather was supervising her. When she cancelled the policy she was then charged over 50 pounds cancellation fee even though she had never actually been insured(as they require a phone call to confirm) and had taken out the policy less than 24 hours previously. This is money she can ill afford to have taken from her.

Sky Insurance is a FRAUD. Do NOT use this company. They steal your deposit. I highly recommend using other honest and reliable agents and brokers. Stay away from them...

Not to be recommended, the lure is a competitive if not cheaper price but you absolutely will incur hidden costs. They will argue it is in the terms as they are but your black box is totally monitored and you will absolutely incur costs. I paid £121.63p for the car being parked at an alternative address for a long period. The analogy for me is they are the wheel clamper guys of old who are using the new black box to create fines and costs. BEWARE!
