Replacement door handle

Replacement door handle, what should of been a straight swap for one that is worn, the new one does not line up, even though they are the same length, as the lock is lower on the new version, it would leave holes on show. Is the idea on older doors to have them replaced or do you still make the older door handles for exterior doors... To return, costs the client postage, to such an extent, it's not worth returning! The replacement letter box was fine and could be installed with minor alteration for the fixings.

AVOID AT ALL COST

After numerous phonecalls and emails relating to several defects, almost 2 years since fitting I am still waiting for this shambolic money grabbing, don't care less cowboy outfit to replace a door bar that was rusty on the day it was fitted AVOID AT ALL COST.

After 7 months of waiting for my front…

After 7 months of waiting for my front door the fitter failed to completely seal it. Then another fitted had to be booked to reseal it. Later the door wouldn’t close properly ! It’s a slam lock composite door but had to use the key to assist in closing. Another engineer was booked and took three weeks to come out. After x4 days it’s failed again hopefully when the next person comes out on their fourth visit it can be resolved! But in the meantime having to use the key again as having to wait a few weeks for them to return. As a large company like Anglian I thought would be concerned about the standard of workmanship but they seem to not give a tooo hoot. !!

Website and agent says different things

Website declare - quote it's valid for 6 months. When we had call and quote been original 4k+ for two uPVC doors, agent applied some discount and it's came 2.7k and straight away asked "needs to sorted deposit to proceed" answered "like I have to discuss quote with wife" and he said "needs to accept quote immediately or it's will expire" Its first time someone push us to accept the quote without giving time to think and yes I've said I can't accept quote without speaking to wife and he gave me time till next day morning. Ffs Waste of time

Be afraid, be very afraid!

Be warned, be very aware if you are buying wood windows! They’ll take your money, you could wait over a year for your windows to be installed, those windows could well be faulty within 6/7 months, they’ll finally send someone to look at them, they’ll get repainted, and within 4 months the new paint will fail. You could have the task of cleaning the glue off the insides. Water might ingress, and the wood will shift and make the locks such that you have use two hands to open the windows. You may need to leave numerous phone messages, and get no return calls. You will probably need to send recorded complaint letters, and get no response, and finally when the Chairman is copied you might get a response that the “windows not within warranty” — that’s what happened to us, and our windows were installed in 2018.

The measurements detailed on the website do not match that of the letterbox when it arrived - very disappointing for me to be misled in this way and the person on the phone not helpful re a refund
