Went to view a property on Wednesday 9th July. I waited 15 before ringing to see if anyone was turning up to show me round, no one did. I then rang the office and they said they had no recollection of my booking. I said I had a confirmation email. They said “well it must have been moved, did you not get told?”. IF I WAS TOLD I WOULD’NT HAVE TURNED UP WOULD I? I won’t be using Richard Kendall again. This is the second time this has happened now.
Mandy Bennett at the Ossett branch of Richard Kendall was, without doubt, the best Estate Agent if have ever dealt with! She went the extra mile on everything she did & whatever I asked it was dealt with without a problem. I've never had an Estate Agent like it, had some absolute nightmares in the past. I made a massive mistake in appointing W H Brown in Wakefield originally to sell my late Mum's property. They overpriced it, gave us poor information on how to set it up to sell, due to this we had very few viewings & very poor liason. The worst bit was recommending the incompetent solicitors, Gilson Gray in Lincoln, who were a nightmare. I got rid of W H Brown at the first opportunity & listed with Richard Kendall. The difference was night & day! Mandy dealt with absolutely everything brilliantly. She dealt with both sets of solicitors which was a thankless task. We completed yesterday & it would have still been on going if it wasn't for Mandy. To summarise, if you're listing a property in that area just use Richard Kendall, avoid W H Brown & never ever use Gilson Gray solicitors. Thank you Mandy, you've restored my faith in Estate Agents, well one anyway! Absolute star!!
As we have an existing relationship with Richard Kendall they were an obvious choice for the sale of our family home. With branches across the 5 towns they are a perfect choice for the region, with wonderful staff offering a personal, passionate service whilst remaining highly professional and efficient. Karen was our negotiator in Wakefield and worked so hard over a 12 month period! She kept the chain connected through a complex process with various issues, keeping related parties updated along the way. So happy in our new home and the pain was worth it - honestly Karen 😃. We exchanged contracts today for the purchase of a property sold by Richard Kendall Estate Agents. Throughout this process Karen Marijewko has been extremely helpful. Indeed in the nicest possible way she as been pleasantly persistent in chasing what needed to be chased, including some rather tardy solicitors! Well done Karen and thanks
Richard Kendall Estate Agents arranged the recent letting of our rental property. They handled everything from marketing, to viewings, repairs, credit checks, literally everything! Amy Esberger in particular was fantastic, she kept us informed of the rental process from start to finish, answering all questions (and there were many), in a professional yet friendly manner. Her advice was invaluable and nothing was too much trouble. If you have a property that you'd like to rent out, I would 100% recommend using Richard Kendall.
Liz and Joanne provided great service during the selling process, ensuring we were updated on a regular basis and also chasing solicitors / buyer for updates. Would highly recommend.
Richard Kendall were my letting agents who were responsible for getting me in the flat. They did that but failed to pickup the landlord on some issues with the flat. The entry report was glorious but hid the broken toilet door lock, building door buzzer broken for five years previously. The old fridge that hummed and banged loudly at night.Foul smell from sink. Dirty windows which never cleaned even after a year. In the exit report it seemed they wanted to help the landlord with his spruce up costs for the next tenant with my deposit and said the flat was unclean and skirting boards were dirty and is broken the toilet lock. Even though i done a deep clean for two days straight it wasn’t ever gonna be clean enough. They had arranged people trampling through the flat for two days viewing it before they did the exit report. Very disappointed that Richard Kendall didn’t give me benefit of doubt but we’re so biased towards the landlord who wasn’t even maintaining the flat properly. He has not got the excuse to take most of my deposit on suspect claims and can use my deposit to find his cost of preparing the flat for the new tenant. Very disappointing and unfair.
Joanne and Liz handled the sale of my late father's bungalow. My wife and I had not been involved in the sale of a property for many years and the guidance and personal service provided by Joanne and Liz was first class and their expert advice at every stage of the process helped to secure a sale. They kept us well informed of progress on a regular basis and were readily available to us by phone to answer any queries we had.They kept in close contact with our buyers throughout. We would definitely recommend Kendalls and will be using them again.
We have just completed on my late mother's house and must say the whole process was handled with professionalism and compassion. David the valuer gave excellent advice and Karen Marijewko was extremely helpful in conducting the sale of the house and took care of all aspects of the sale in a professional, courtious and friendly manner the whole process was concluded in 8 weeks, excellent. Have used Richard Kendall's in the past and would certainly use them in the future.

We were supported by Karen through the entire sales process from the initial listing through to the completion. Communication was excellent keeping us informed on a weekly bases of how things had progressed through to next steps. In a toughening market Karen worked hard to find a buyer that would value the work undertaken at the property and to find an mutually agreeable price to transact act. Karen invested significant time supporting the buyers through the process and ensuring they were making the right progress to move towards a completion.
