Went to view a property on Wednesday 9th July. I waited 15 before ringing to see if anyone was turning up to show me round, no one did. I then rang the office and they said they had no recollection of my booking. I said I had a confirmation email. They said “well it must have been moved, did you not get told?”. IF I WAS TOLD I WOULD’NT HAVE TURNED UP WOULD I? I won’t be using Richard Kendall again. This is the second time this has happened now.
Mandy Bennett at the Ossett branch of Richard Kendall was, without doubt, the best Estate Agent if have ever dealt with! She went the extra mile on everything she did & whatever I asked it was dealt with without a problem. I've never had an Estate Agent like it, had some absolute nightmares in the past. I made a massive mistake in appointing W H Brown in Wakefield originally to sell my late Mum's property. They overpriced it, gave us poor information on how to set it up to sell, due to this we had very few viewings & very poor liason. The worst bit was recommending the incompetent solicitors, Gilson Gray in Lincoln, who were a nightmare. I got rid of W H Brown at the first opportunity & listed with Richard Kendall. The difference was night & day! Mandy dealt with absolutely everything brilliantly. She dealt with both sets of solicitors which was a thankless task. We completed yesterday & it would have still been on going if it wasn't for Mandy. To summarise, if you're listing a property in that area just use Richard Kendall, avoid W H Brown & never ever use Gilson Gray solicitors. Thank you Mandy, you've restored my faith in Estate Agents, well one anyway! Absolute star!!
As we have an existing relationship with Richard Kendall they were an obvious choice for the sale of our family home. With branches across the 5 towns they are a perfect choice for the region, with wonderful staff offering a personal, passionate service whilst remaining highly professional and efficient. Karen was our negotiator in Wakefield and worked so hard over a 12 month period! She kept the chain connected through a complex process with various issues, keeping related parties updated along the way. So happy in our new home and the pain was worth it - honestly Karen 😃. Very nice and attentive staff, weekly updates on the progress of the sale. Always answered any queries and replied in good time. Valuation was pretty much spot on and selling advice was very helpful.
After a recent sale failed Karen helped so much to push the solicitors to make sure there were no more hold ups that would cause another stressful failure.
Jessica oversaw the process of us securing our rental property. From start to finish she was professional, always responded quickly, kept us informed the entire way and was genuinely lovely to deal with. So much so, my partner and I have decided once the time comes to purchase our first property we’d definitely want to buy through Richard Kendall. Richard Kendall Estate Agent are the go to Agents for selling a house in the Wakefield and surrounding area. Richard Kendall have been very profesional from the start to the completion, they offer a fixed price at the outset and you get a designated person who will keep you informed, offer advice, and support you throughout the sale. My designated person was Karen Marijewko, she is a very professional person, and I have nothing but praise for her hard work and guidance, all provided in a very friendly manner, well done Karen!
If you want no help And support from an estate agent, unless you push and push at every stage of the process, go with Richard Kendall. It was pointless having an estate agent, they never vetted people correctly, open day left solely to a single women with zero vetting or checks again who was coming, if anyone at all, sales boards put up in places that do not link to the house or are visible to passers by, not cancelling appointments despite potential buying coming the week before, meant I spent hours getting the house ready for someone who was never due to come… no empathy or support, no ability to market and identity potential buyers based on the uniqueness of the property. I would not recommend to use Richard Kendall
We just completed on the purchase of our bungalow with Richard Kendall. It took longer than we expected but Karen Marijewko kept us updated every step of the way phoning and emailing every week. Our experience of the service provided by Karen Marijewko and Richard Kendall was excellent, questions were always answered and if we left a message we were always called back and in these days thats pretty good service.
