Went to view a property on Wednesday 9th July. I waited 15 before ringing to see if anyone was turning up to show me round, no one did. I then rang the office and they said they had no recollection of my booking. I said I had a confirmation email. They said “well it must have been moved, did you not get told?”. IF I WAS TOLD I WOULD’NT HAVE TURNED UP WOULD I? I won’t be using Richard Kendall again. This is the second time this has happened now.
Mandy Bennett at the Ossett branch of Richard Kendall was, without doubt, the best Estate Agent if have ever dealt with! She went the extra mile on everything she did & whatever I asked it was dealt with without a problem. I've never had an Estate Agent like it, had some absolute nightmares in the past. I made a massive mistake in appointing W H Brown in Wakefield originally to sell my late Mum's property. They overpriced it, gave us poor information on how to set it up to sell, due to this we had very few viewings & very poor liason. The worst bit was recommending the incompetent solicitors, Gilson Gray in Lincoln, who were a nightmare. I got rid of W H Brown at the first opportunity & listed with Richard Kendall. The difference was night & day! Mandy dealt with absolutely everything brilliantly. She dealt with both sets of solicitors which was a thankless task. We completed yesterday & it would have still been on going if it wasn't for Mandy. To summarise, if you're listing a property in that area just use Richard Kendall, avoid W H Brown & never ever use Gilson Gray solicitors. Thank you Mandy, you've restored my faith in Estate Agents, well one anyway! Absolute star!!
As we have an existing relationship with Richard Kendall they were an obvious choice for the sale of our family home. With branches across the 5 towns they are a perfect choice for the region, with wonderful staff offering a personal, passionate service whilst remaining highly professional and efficient. Karen was our negotiator in Wakefield and worked so hard over a 12 month period! She kept the chain connected through a complex process with various issues, keeping related parties updated along the way. So happy in our new home and the pain was worth it - honestly Karen 😃. You're welcome to visit anytime to see what it was all about and that's not something you'll hear said to an estate agent very often - speaks volumes 🥰. Thank you.

Karen is a star. Our chain had so many problems, our estate agent was nigh on silent and many solicitors so evasive. If it wasn’t for Karen’s tenacity and determination to help us I don’t think we would’ve stayed in the process. For weeks on end she’d be the only voice we’d hear and we weren’t paying Richard Kendall, a truly brilliant service thank you Karen!

Karen was the contact for the sale of my late father’s house . Karen was in constant contact with me throughout , and was particularly helpful in the late stages once we had an offer , driving the sale to a completion. She chased both my solicitors and the buyers , and even assisted in tracking down the buyers mortgage offer.She was always friendly and professional. Thank you Karen !

My house sale went through very smoothly. Amber rang me every week to keep me updated on progress, as she checked in with both sets of solicitors, and would pinpoint any pinch points and advise me on what action to take. I have moved house multiple times and I can honestly say that no one has ever been as diligent as Amber. Thank you for an excellent service. I would highly recommend Richard Kendall if you are selling your house.

Suzy Jordan in the Ossett office kept us well informed even though she wasn’t obliged to as we weren’t her client. We can not thank her enough for easing some of the stress of our experience of moving as part of a large chain.

Richard Kendall were the estate agents for the people we were buying our house from. Wow wow wow. Amanda Holt, you were born to be an estate agent! What a lovely human being, who is extremely knowledgeable in her field and the most proactive and approachable person. At every step Amanda was there to support. In difficult circumstances at times, Amanda knew exactly what to do and used encouraging language which made everyone feel at ease. I can't thank Amanda enough for her role in the purchase of our new property and really do think she is an asset to Richard Kendall Estate Agents and if I were to move again (never again) I wouldn't hesitate to use them purely based on the expertise of one employee and to be honest every encounter with other employees were lovely too.
