The first visit where it was an inspection and a programme arranged was good but was disappointed when the guy who came out to do the job hadn't been briefed at all other than the basic visit. It was a good job the young man concerned once having looked at the problem then carried out the work to the best of his ability. I thought the communication was poor.

The agent did not do a survey of the house to identify the point of entry, which we were told they would do. They simply identified the hole that we knew about. They said the rodents were coming in via the drain. We had another firm come in to do a cctv scan of the drains, and they found no holes orentry ways and no problem except that the drain was blocked with debris. On his third visit, the agent removed a rat from behind the boiler the loft space. In doing so, he obviously damaged the pipes so that we have a leak into the upstairs bathroom and the water flow to our heater is affected so that we now have no hot water in the radiators. We have had to call the energency plumbers this morning to come and fix this before anything worse happens.

When checking the Rentokil site I was please to see the AI chat gave categories so I clicked on pigeon as I have some nesting under my solar panels. At the end of the chat I was advised that I would receive a call between 9am and noon the following day. Before the chat finished I was sent 3 photos of pigeons so I assumed that Rentokil had done their research and would handle the job humanely and as quickly as possible. Instead of calling they sent me an email stating that it is illegal to remove birds as per the protective law of 1981 and once they had left they would come out to have a look. It is true that all birds are protected, however, pigeons nest in the same area for life and wood pigeons do not migrate. They hibernate. The pigeons under my solar panels have nestled themselves in amongst the wiring therefore putting themselves at risk and would be considered a fire hazard. I advised Rentokil that I would contact another company and leave a review. !! In reply to Rentokil.... The email I received stated that they would not come out until the pigeons have left their nesting area because birds are protected. They did not enquire if there was a potential threat to safety or if I knew which type of pigeon was nesting on my roof. Since my review Rentokil have replied saying that they would come out if the pose a threat to the general public. Since they are nesting within the wires of my solar panels they are putting themselves and my end of terrace home at risk. Having done some research I found out that not all pigeons migrate so I could be stuck with a nest of birds putting themselves and my home at risk. !!! An email for further information would have been more agreeable than via Trustpilot. !!!

A great working relationship with both the technician and field biologist. Quick to respond when required and always happy and willing to explain the reasons for doing things. Flexible in there working for coming to site and helping on the Rentokil portal.

Very professional team did an excellent job. They were polite and very thorough with the job and even cleaned up afterwards! Sadly I probably won't see them again.
